“Stayed for two nights in mid-February (off season). The Lodge was absolutely spotless and so was my room. I really enjoy “off the path” places that are well taken care of. The views are spectacular, and there is easy access to a variety of hiking trails within the Park.The crew here are very friendly and hospitable. Their dedication is easily seen, from the well kept grounds, the clean interior, and friendly interactions. It’s easy to let things “slip” in the off season, but that wasn’t the case. Special shout out to the housekeeping staff! Thank you!”

“Room and bed were comfortable and clean. Good water pressure in shower. It's being renovated so there was some clutter but it's to be understood. Renovation also closed the restaurant, bar and pool but we weren't there to swim and with Tom's Carryout in town with the best hot dogs ever and a Tudors Biscuit World nearby, we didn't mind the restaurant being closed. Staff was polite and helpful. We felt like we were the only ones there sometimes but still felt safe and secure.”
“Great prices on rooms, Historic. Great dining area which can be semi formal. Awesome view of Kanawha Falls. Quiet, in the mountains. Small garden lot to walk around.Rooms: Take a step back in time. Several varieties to choose from. Well keptNearby activities: All the trendy New River Gorge National Park things are available within a half hours drive. Scenic waterfalls on the way. Fishing, boating, swim maybe at Kanawha Falls. Hiking, mtn bikes. Charleston is in the other direction 45 min or so with all city amenities, shopping, entertainment.”
