“This place has beautiful things and it was really cool to see. I also love the concept and the ways it supports the makers. We bought a unicorn mobile for our baby’s crib and a little bracelet for her. Upon checkout, I noticed the price was higher than the price tag said, so I told the cashier I could have sworn the mobile was $58 and the cashier told me that $68 was the price, so I went with it. It was an odd interaction and I didn’t push. Turns out upon opening the box I was right. The daisy beaded bracelet I got I also could have sworn was cheaper but it was rung up as $8. I didn’t even think to check. Now I think that could’ve been wrong too. Would have given 5 stars if there had been a little more support in customer service.”

“A cute gift shop in Harpers Ferry
Mary Adams Accessories is a charming two-room shop just off the street that climbs the hill from John Brown’s Fort. It’s one of several small storefronts perched on the hill above the river and the train station, and it fits the setting perfectly. It is cozy, welcoming, and full of things you actually want to pick up and look at. Be careful walking in from the street as you have to step down a few stairs and the doorway top can catch a tall person not being careful. The front room has a good selection of accessories and gifts. The back room feels like a little discovery. There is a small book shop tucked among a wide variety of fun items—think of things you might find in a novelty store like Spencers. It’s really the kind of place where you come for one thing and notice three others that catch your eye. The staff were very nice which added to the relaxed feel. Overall, this is a great stop while exploring Harpers Ferry—especially if you’re already walking the hill from the Fort. Pop in for a few minutes; chances are you’ll find a book, a gift, or a small accessory that makes a perfect memento of your visit.”
