While I don't do a majority of my business with Chase, they are the most convenient location to me when I need to handle notary-related issues. I tried to call in advance to see if they could take care of my needs, though they did not pick up the phone three times in a row spread over 25 minutes, forcing me to come to the branch to find out. When I arrived, I was told by the individual greeting customers that they could take care of both my notary needs and the witnesses for it. I waited 45 minutes for a notary to become available, only to be redirected to the front desk (where there is no physical surface for me to put my paperwork down), while I waited for the notary to fill out my addresses. Come to find out, not only do they not allow their employees to serve as witnesses (which is what most financial institutions permit), they refuse to notarize wills PERIOD. When the notary recommended I come back with two friends, I pointed out that even if I did that I could only complete two of the three documents at the bank, requiring me to make a separate trip somewhere else with those witnesses to handle the will. She didn't have much to say after that. I will not be returning to Chase for any notary or banking needs in the future. I would gladly close my credit card with them now as well if it wouldn't affect my credit score negatively. The sacrifices we make for our credit profiles, right? Overall: 1.0 star ------ Pros: - Staff are pleasant, albeit contradictory and unhelpful. Cons: - This experience was just an absolute customer service mess. I am amazed they remain in business if other customers have to suffer through such ridiculousness. - This could have been prevented if someone there simply answered the phone one of the several times I called. Seriously, it would have saved us all a good deal of time.

Awful bank. Someone stole my debit card info and was using it to make purchases and ATM withdrawals while I was home taking care of my fiancé while he was recovering from surgery. This happened three times. And all three times Chase employees told us "It was obviously you." I was treated like a criminal. All they did was charge me overdraft fees instead of help me get my identity back. Had to let the account close to get back control of my finances because Chase sure wasn't gonna help.
