“I just needed a place to sleep for a couple days while traveling. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the shower was excellent. It had very strong water pressure and the water was nice and hot. It was quiet and I felt safe. I would definitely stay there again.”

“Very convenient to many stores right by the highway clean rooms. It's a small kind of City motel, but there's friendly people working here and they try to keep the riff Raff out the best they can. Everything seems to be in good condition. They got decent TVs with decent networks. Really nice place for the price”
“Great place to stay. Business and pleasure. Amazing & helpful staff. Breakfast was great and location is good for things to do and also feel able to have quiet time
. Thanks soooo much!”
“We have stayed here on 2 seperate occasions over the past week--as Huntington is a good stopping point for a two-day drive from Williamsburg to our home.
Staff has been very friendly, polite, competent, and accommodating both stays. A+! I've had more than my share of grumpy, unsocial hotel staff. None here!
Both nights, rooms were clean and in good repair--the outlets in the second room were difficult to get a plug into (feels like the outlet box isn't properly secured to studs behind the dry wall) but with some wiggling and bracing, we were able to plug in everything we needed to.
AC works well; hot water comes out hot (sometimes with a whine). Good water pressure. Drains are actually clean!! That's so nice (sad that it isn't the norm even in much fancier hotels).
Another not-norm, but I wish it were, both elevators worked perfectly, and nothing inside smelled disgustingly of (any type of) smoke.
You can hear some noise from the floor above you. I figure that's not particularly unusual, and for us, it was not an issue, as the noise was limited to occasional footsteps (I SUPPOSE upstairs neighbors are allowed to walk around...sometimes...)
Room has a mini fridge, microwave, and mini coffee maker plus alarm clock (may or may not display the time--you can't reset it though!) TVs seemed to vary a bit by room but the one we had the second stay even had HDMI input options for laptop, etc.
Access to highway is quick and easy and downtown Huntington has many choices for food.
Included continental breakfast is entirely serviceable for the purposes, if not particularly inspiring--although the holiday themed waffle batter option (red velvet) and red, white, and blue sprinkles for toppings was a nice additional touch. It's very convenient though, and the staff assigned to attend it are very responsive and keep the area clean and the food stocked.
The ONLY real complaint I have is something that this hotel has zero control over--some bozo decided it would be great to build a big car dealership behind the hotel.
Half of the rooms face it.
They play music over their loudspeakers from 7:50 am to 9 pm. Unless you have significant hearing impairment, you can still hear it through the window. Closing the blinds doesn't help.
On the other hand, it's relatively faint, while still audible, and they don't play it during normal sleeping hours. But if you're planning to sleep or be in the room a lot during the hours between 7:50 am and 9 pm, and this sounds like it wouldn't work for you--see if you can request an odd numbered room, or be prepared to have something to block out the tinny country music leaking into your room all day long.”
