Very expensive and poor design for large parties. My and my husband’s first visit to this restaurant was for a friend’s birthday. The party room doesn’t have much/any sound absorbing materials, so it got very loud. Our drinks and food took a long time to come, and were mediocre, other than very strong alcoholic beverages and nachos that probably tasted good because we hadn’t eaten in many hours. We never received an itemized bill, but I calculated a gratuity of 30% from the menu prices, putting our bill over $100. Our waiter also didn’t mention that gratuity had been added (there was a line for tip); we found out from another table. This was a large party so I can understand the slow service and pre-adding gratuity. I’m just not sure I would want to visit again for a glorified patty melt.Dietary restrictions: They have a lot of low lactose options (goat cheese used over cow cheese) but nuts and shellfish are frequently used. Definitely ask your waiter about cross-contamination.

Keith was our waiter and the whole experience was great! Phenomenal food and service! Edit* Updating this review because we once again had a great time at Cellar Door, this time at Avatar trivia (Team Cabbage Justice)! Keith was the host and once again was awesome!

I was genuinely excited to experience your renowned restaurant and chose the Tapas Experience for 2 for Valentine's Day, which included the Sweetheart package with candlelight, a rose, and champagne. Unfortunately, our evening fell short of expectations from the beginning. Upon arrival, the servers were unaware of our prepaid reservation for the special package, leading to a somewhat disorganized start. While our server was kind, it surprised me that the staff was not informed beforehand.Ordering an additional rose added to the wait, prompting an apology from the bartender who was clearly stressed, and I heard mention to another table was just “so busy”. Understandably due to the wedding we did not know about prior! It soon became apparent that the staff was grappling with the simultaneous demands of regular service, a wedding in the private balcony, and the Valentine's experience. Despite the staff's kindness, they seemed overwhelmed. Anticipating a quiet and romantic atmosphere for our pre-paid "candlelit Valentine's experience," we were disappointed by the unexpected blaring music from the wedding party ( that was not mentioned ANYWHERE when booking our reservation ),the wedding party's intrusion into the dining area for photos which included a ton of flash photography that left me and my partner very stressed ( as we are both autistic, and these sorts of flashes can be triggering, especially when it was so much, and so unexpected so we weren’t prepared ) and the vet delayed delivery of our champagne that was supposed to be included in the package.Regrettably, our anticipation for a romantic evening with the promised "candlelit Valentine's experience" turned into a stark disappointment. The lack of a candlelit ambiance, glaring lights, and persistent loudness created anything but a romantic setting. The absence of any mention of the ongoing wedding, coupled with Kesha's blaring music and the wedding party intruding into the dining area for photos, left us feeling like an afterthought in our quest for a special Valentine's celebration. It was disheartening to witness both our dining experience and the wedding being compromised, and we couldn't help but feel empathy for all parties involved. The lack of transparency regarding the simultaneous events detracted significantly from what was meant to be a memorable evening. Considering these challenges, we hope for a sincere acknowledgment and a suitable resolution, such as a partial or full refund for the entire Tapas Experience, to rectify the disappointment we experienced. While the food was good, it was hard for us to enjoy considering the other circumstances.

The cocktail class hosted by Keith was informative, fun and tasty! In addition to providing the drink recipes, he took the time to explain drink preparation tips that really enhanced the experience. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed with enough time to enjoy your drinks, food and conversation! I definitely plan to attend another class. I just have to decide which one-whiskey, gin, tequila, mocktails … maybe all of them!

Went to the cellar door for a cocktail class. It was a great event! The food and drinks were good and Keith did a great job facilitating the class. I now have a fool proof way to order (and make) the perfect martini. I would recommend registering for one of their upcoming classes!

The food was wonderful, and our server Kayla was the best. It was packed, and food was a little slow, which was to be expected on Valintines Day, but Kayla more than made up for it. She was a great server, and funny, she made it a finaminal experience. Would definitely go back.

We were very excited to enjoy our Tapas Experience at the Cellar Door. It was obvious they were ill prepared for the crowd. We got there at 6:00 and did not finish our 4 course Tapas meal until well after 8:00 PM. The first two courses were good but lukewarm. The main course we had to share (which we were not expecting) was steak, whipped potatoes, broccoli and shrimp. The steak was not good. It was overdone and cold. Remainder of the food was good but cold. The dessert was good but it was not what was advertised on the menu. There was no explanation and at that point we just finished up and left. The atmosphere is great and staff was friendly. They did tell us the kitchen was behind and offered us free bread. Haha. If they do this again next year hopefully they will be better prepared for the crowd.

The food was good but the service was very slow. We were seated at about 6:30, finally got our drinks and placed tapas orders at about 7. We got our food at about 8:30. There was a large party in the other room that had been served food and dishes cleared while we were waiting for our meal. We could have ordered more food and drinks, but it was already past 9 at that point so we decided to call it a night. It was fairly loud, between the loud music and people having to talk loudly above the music. The food was very good, I just wish it had been more timely to enjoy a few more dishes. We'll give them one more try to see if this was an anomoly or standard service.

The Cellar Door is the right place to go if you are decompressing and trying to slow down the day. It is relaxing, with attentive but not pushy servers. The food is designed for easy sharing and was perfect to the last morsel. Although we sat at a "normal" table, I should add that there are some tables with couches and pillows for small groups to chill together. Only place in town with that vibe,

I have been to cellar door a good amount of times. Last year it was decent, good food & service was adequate. Every experience this year has been bad. Especially if it is a weekend, they’re noticeably understaffed and not a bit apologetic. We waited over and hour for our food on Saturday and eventually just left and told them we couldn’t wait any longer because we had a show to go to. Bummer, I really used to like it there.

I attended an event here and it really opened my eyes to this place! The food is incredible! So flavorful and rich! Love the idea behind tapas. This place nails it on all aspects. The aesthetic is perfect for any occasion. I attended a baby shower and the Halloween party all within a week. Both were perfectly decorated and the staff was AMAZING! The bartender on Saturday nights is a delight. She is very personable and serves a great drink! The pace of service is perfect. Everyone is so welcoming and the expresso martini was above my expectations. I truly cannot recommend this place more for events and for date night!
