If insurance doesn’t cover your prescription, they won’t bother filling it. At the very least, an employee could call to confirm that you’re prepared to pay cash. But nope. Instead, you’ll get a notification indicating that your script is ready to pick up only to be told it’s going to be an additional 3+ days once you get there. No problems since switching to Walmart.

They treat patients that are in Recovery with a lot of stigma. My MAT prescription was due one day later but I have to work a 12 hour shift away from Hurricane so I won’t be able to get it which is why I was trying to get it a day early. I’ve used them for all of my medications over the years and many times I could get my rx filled several days early but not the MAT. They made me feel as if I was trying to get it a day early because I’m a drug abuser. It’s sad because they are medical professionals. It shows that we still have such a long way to go in treating folks in recovery as less than.Edit: there is one young lady I assume isn’t the actual pharmacist that is wonderful. Very kind compassionate and understanding. I wish I knew her name

Way way way to slow! Needed my bp meds filled and even a day later they were still “running behind” which is ridiculous. Moving to CVS.

Pharmacy never answers calls, was on hold for 15 minutes and the pharmacist is extremely rude once you finally get through.

Store is nice inside however I normally just pick up medicine in the drive thru and with kids and being a mom with 3 kids it's easy to swing past the drive thru but since the covid testing they stated we no longer can use the drive thru for prescriptions making it a challenge to drag out a double stroller and a toddler to go inside a stand until someone decides to assist us. And Everytime I have ever called this location I am on hold for ever or no one ever answers. I have always used cvs pharmacy but Walgreens is so much closer. Just moved all my stuff back to CVS.

The Hurricane Walgreens provides excellent customer service! ...usually. I’m taking away one star because there are a few workers here who seem too preoccupied by other aspects of their lives to smile or greet the customers...Or perhaps they simply don’t like their jobs:I understand Walgreens makes their cashiers stock the shelves while waiting for non-pharmacy customers to check out. While I’m sure this saves the company labor costs by making one person do two jobs, it creates a negative environment for the customer, and I’m sure the employees aren’t big fans of it either. The customer usually needs to get the attention of another Walgreens associate or flag down the cashier/stocker who is generally less than pleased to see someone needs cashed out while they’re busy stocking. During slow hours (if those even exist—this location is constantly busy) I can understand cashiers stocking certain items, especially things behind the counter like cigarettes, but a cashier stocking candy and greeting cards 4 aisles away from the register is pretty ridiculous when you consider 99% of the time there’s only 1 cashier working. Clearly they’re stretching their help too thin. Not to mention the loss prevention issue at hand. I was standing at the front for around 5 minutes before searching for the cashier, which is not an issue to wait, but is certainly enough time for someone to walk out the front door without paying. Perhaps stop spreading your help so thin and they would have a more pleasant attitude about their job, you might have less stuff stolen off your shelves too.
