When traveling to West Virginia, our flight (Contour Airlines - the only flight into Lewisburg that Day) was delayed which resulted in my reserved rental car being released. When I realized the flight would be significantly delayed, I made multiple attempts (7) to call the number provided with no answer. When I finally got on the plane, I asked my husband to continue calling while I was in route. He made several attempts (12) as well, with no answer.
Upon arrive, I was told my car had been “released”, and there would not be any available until the next day at the earliest (it is noteworthy that there are not other rental car companies, cab companies, or ubers in this location). I was quite upset, as I am unfamiliar with the area and had secured a VRBO for the week for my professional conference in Lewisburg. Because of my considerable emotional distress, a kindly, elderly, fellow Contour Passenger let me “bum a ride” out of town to my rural rental property.
I spent a couple of hours on the phone attempting to solve my transportation problems over that evening and throughout the entirety of the following day. The next day, I was told that several vehicles had been returned but had damage and tire issues and could not be made available for me. Because of my lack of transportation, I missed the first day of my conference.
My Enterprise experience let me down more still, when, despite assuring me that they would notify me when a suitable vehicle was returned, I called the afternoon of July 16th, only to have the employee staffing the afternoon shift not have any familiarity with my plight or the obligations the previous employee had made.
He advised that there was, in fact, an appropriate car, but that they would be closing in 17 minutes, could not fetch me, and could not remain later and allow me time to walk. As I was six miles out of town, finding a ride was not a simple task. He informed me that they could come and get me, but that service would not be available until the following morning at 10:00a.
As I was obligated to speak at the conference, I did not want to arrive late for the next day. I contacted the owner of the VRBO, and they were able to provide a ride on their way to work (7:30am), leaving me waiting for the doors to open at 8. Upon arriving at their business, the local Enterprise franchise said they would “get something ready for me”.
I have to admit that I set myself up for disappointment, expecting that they would offer some consideration for their lack of conscientiousness. However, they were resolved to charge me the full price for the remaining reservation. Upon my return home and employee from Enterprise did contact me. When I went into some of the details of my frustrations, she offered me $50 off of my total bill. I have to admit, receiving a ride from a complete stranger (thank goodness he was a very nice man), being stranded at my VRBO 6 miles away from amenities for 36 hours, and missing an entire day of my professional conference was worth more to me than $50.
I expect running a car rental business in a rural area is a challenging endeavor, and I do not doubt that you have received this feedback previously. However, as a self-employed mother of three, I manage to honor my obligations to my customers, and I make it right when I have to break my schedule. I can ill-afford extra days of travel and missed days of professional training.

Shatique Oglesby at the Lewisburg location went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable ride for our trip to Florida. Not only that we totally messed up on what day we had to have it back, he totally took care of us.Even left to go get us something more suitable for us! Our trip went great bc of him. Very professional, excellent customer service! Thank you

Phenomenal customer service! My car had a service issue while staying at The Greenbrier. This tremendous gentleman, Shatique, got me hooked up with a sweet ride so I could continue my amazing vacation! Seriously, this young man is an incredible person and leader! The manager called me on the way home and dealt with a miscommunication professionally. Thank you to her as well! Danielle at the Hampden PA location got us checked in seamlessly. Incredible customer service culture in work! Respect!!

I'm confused as to why an adjuster would claim 2 separate incidents for the same side rental insurance claim for a valued customer to pay less money than a thousand dollar deductible

Havent had any issues with these folks.. have rented vehicles for vacations from enterprise for several years. Only 4 stars because they closed the office in my town (covington va) .

I was able to pick up the rental car in my hometown and return it convenient to picking up another of my cars when it was finished being serviced in another town.

The assistant manager Shauntil Cash was patient,kind,went well above 5 stars! We couldn't be more happier, answered all our questions and solved all my worries about long trip,hip replacement, needing something comfortable and he did just that, thank you so much Mr.Cash

Our experience was excellent. The gentleman who done our lease was professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. He was a joy to do business with and I would highly recommend him and enterprise for having such a great employee. Looking forward to doing our business with them moving forward.

Got a vehicle from enterprise, i didnt do the walk around with the guy cause i was inside finishing paperwork, brought vehicle back and as we were doing walk around, he saw a crack spot on windshield by the roof, i never said anything cause i figured they knew, now they are claiming they didnt know about it, i said well it was there when i got it

I believe her name is Angie. She took time to show me how to operate and feel comfortable/safe with my rental car. She answered all questions, her knowledge was absolutely top notch, personable, kind, quick check in and she is a dedicated employee. She is an outstanding representative of Enterprise to the point I shall only rent a vehicle from Enterprise. I had a hospital emergency health situation and they worked with assisting me. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC LOCATION, RENTAL VEHICLE SELECTION, AGENTS, TEAM and I am 100% satisfied. Thank you all so much for everything ♡ Kristina

Excellent service. Friendly staff. Very helpful. Would highly recommend this location. I had a reservation once for 5 pm on a Friday and was running late. I called and let them know I would be there right at 5. They stayed and waited on me and got me my rental. Couldn't ask for better service.??
