We were driving back from Cranberry glades when we saw this book store and decided to stop. It was an old, cold, and damp store with a mildew smell. The owner was very nice with a huge collection of books, newer and old. The store was well organized and priced to sell, but based on the smell of the store a lot of the books probably have mildew/water damage.

This has got to be one of the coolest bookstores I've ever been to, its historic and always has the coolest variety of literature and trinkets for any age collectors! I've always managed to find the most interesting vintage books for a great price, including a massive Civil war art book with a Library card with signatures dating back to 1988! Plus the man who owns it is always super kind and great to chat with! Can't wait to visit again!

Service: 10/10The owner is absolutely awesome and has just as many stories to tell, as the books he sells.Cleanliness: 6/10It's an old schoolhouse and everything seems to be original. Don't mind a little dust or dirt here and there. Completely excusable for a place like this.Staff: 10/10Again the owner is a really awesome guy, when I bought 2 sailing books from him, he tried to sell me a McGregor sailboat haha. What a great guyAtmosphere: 10/10Ten out of ten, this place definitely feels magical and you'll love it. The worst part about this place? Leaving.Busy: 8/10It's was pretty busy and a little crowded so be careful, patient and polite.Value: 10/10Most of the books seem to have the price written on the first page in pencil. And when you find that one book that just makes your day, you'll also be delighted that it's only $5 or $8.Overall: 10/10You won't regret a trip to this bookstore. And you'll be hard pressed to find something you don't like about this place or the owner. Time and money well spent.Side note:This place is cash only so come prepared.

Incredible selection of books. But not just books: there are rooms full of antique farm knickknacks. Chatting with the lovely old gent who owns the place is worth the trip alone.

This place was a magical find. It’s an old school house, with pretty much the original everything. Disclaimer, it’s cash only, so make sure you have cash before you get there. (Wish I had Known that). The man who runs it is a gem, and if you love old books like I do, you will LOVE this place. Old yearbooks, old ledgers, old school books; Original windows, glass, flooring. This place is magic. You get a sense of calm when walking in here. You can really feel the history. I could Spend all day in here.

Very unique place. Definitely will visit again. One of the most warm places I’ve ever been, and bought tons of books from the place. The store owner is a great guy and could sit and tell the most interested things ever. Anybody who passes the place when open needs to stop in and say hello to Gerald.

Unique place. I learned from a person who used to live in the area that it used to be a dance hall many years ago.

I am so glad we stopped by this historic place on our way to Watoga State Park last year. The owners are so wonderful to talk to, and the old building has so much history. The books are organized and affordable. I discovered a new favorite author (Edward Harris Heth) there!
