Camp Twin Creeks is THE BEST!! My 11 yr old is signed up for her THIRD YEAR of fun at Camp Twin Creeks. We literally cannot say enough about how this camp has enriched her life in so many ways. Two entire weeks unplugged from all electronics, from the hustle and bustle of our normal busy routine. At Twin Creeks she gets to be herself. No parents, coaches, teachers, peer groups telling her what she should be doing. She can make her own decisions, make her own friends, choose what activity SHE wants to do out of the many to choose from at Twin Creeks. The first year we were so nervous…”Would she be able to go to sleep? What if she looses her goggles? Who will make sure she brushes her teeth? Will she make friends?” Our daughter taught she is so capable of managing her own needs. Iain and Amy are so accessible and choose the best counselors. And our daughter has so much fun! The pool, the lake, paddle boarding, mountain bike riding, crafts, songs, races, and lots of laughter. We are so glad we gave our daughter the life-enriching gift of Camp Twin Creeks.

Camp Twin Creeks has become the highlight of my kids’ summers. They started attending two years ago at age 9 and 11, and they are counting the days until their next return. The camp is uber traditional—a good old-fashioned sleepaway camp that cultivates screen-free fun, growth, and independence. Think archery, swimming, hiking, sports, campfires, talent shows, and more, with the added bonus of pursuing a “Master Class” in a number of subject areas. The West Virginia mountain setting is idyllic, and the approachable and communicative camp directors are exceptional. We love the option for bus transportation, as well. While some may have trepidations about sending their children to a two-week session, Iain and Amy have shown us first-hand that two weeks is the “sweet spot” for sleepaway camp. We are Twin Creeks super fans!

My children have had a wonderful experience for 3 years at Camp Twin Creeks. It’s a great journey to independence. We LOVE the tech free environment in the countryside. The children make wonderful friendships and have the best 2 weeks of their year. I highly recommend Camp Twin Creeks!

Camp Twin Creeks has been such a wonderful experience for our child, it is incredibly well run and a welcoming, inclusive environment in a beautiful setting! Particularly great for teens too, which is hard to find!

My 13yr went for his first summer this past year ... he had been to other day and sleep-away camps. He's ready to go back! Has a new text thread of friends from across Virginia and the world. My 11yr old will join him this summer. Such a chance to be unplugged, build friendships, see the stars (certified DARK SKY location) and learn just how self-reliant they can be!

This is my daughter's first year. When we picked her up, she couldn't stop talking about how much she loved being at Camp Twin Creeks. She can't wait until next year!

So beautiful at camp TC! What a wonderful way to interact with so many people from around the world. A totally unplugged experience for children. My kids long to came back every summer and they come back from camp more independent and confident every year. They are talking about going back next year already and they haven’t even come home yet! West Virginia is such beautiful country and Camp Twin Creeks is just an oasis for my kids in the summer.

Both my daughters have LOVED their summers at Twin Creeks. They come back with a greater sense of independence having accomplished and “survived” time away from home. The cabin life is about making memories and new friends, as well as being responsible for your belongings and cabin cleanup. There is a great variety of activities for all ages, plus the campgrounds are absolutely gorgeous nestled in the mountains and natural springs. Kids have so much healthy space that gets them doing fun things and off their phones! Songs, campfires, talent show, lake life, tug-o-wars and natural bridges mixed in with tennis, a newly renovated pool, even a climbing wall. Horseback riding, tubing, archery - it’s all there! Counselors take their role to heart and make sure kids are good to each other and feeling stimulated. Tears are shed at the end because of the close bonds they’ve made and the challenges they’ve overcome. Camp of a lifetime!

My daughter attended camp initially under protest. I think the thought of being away sounded good at first until she heard that it was almost 4 hours away. First few days were constant PLEAS to go home and then around day 3 or 4 it all changed. The staff were VERY patient with her and allowed her to be. They let her engage at her own pace and the rest is history. After two weeks she got off the bus with hair askew, her flannel pajamas, skinnier than when she left but with one basic and definite request...Can I go back for FOUR weeks next time? Lesson learned for both of us: Sometimes trying is hard but it always pays off in the end. Twin Creeks, well be back!4 stars because she said the food was just ok

The most amazing experience for campers AND staff. I was a camper at Camp Twin Creeks for 4 years and I've been a part of their staff every summer I've been able to since. It has been an incredible opportunity to get out into nature (ditch the technology since there's no cell phone service), have fun, and cultivate some of the best friendships in my life. Being a relatively smaller camp, the campers/staff/leadership get to know and spend time with everyone. It's the most welcoming place I can think of. Simply put: this place feels like home.

As an employee of Camp TC in the Summer of 2022, I can say it was one of the best places I've ever been in my life. The kids were so friendly and all got along, and the staff were all so supportive. The camp promotes a real sense of family and togetherness and I will never forget my experience there. I am planning on returning this Summer, and have no doubt it will be just as incredible an experience!

I've been going here for 7 years and went from camper to counselor. I've had so many amazing memories here and love working here. There's truly nowhere on Earth quite like Camp TC. I've gained so many skills and so many friends from this camp and have even discovered new passions. It is my second home and there's nowhere else I'd rather spend my summers.
