Fantastic lodging and great hospitality. The owners have done a fantastic job of modernizing this 100 year old inn and their attention to detail is amazing!!

I hiked the Greenbrier River Trail in October. On a wet and cold evening I decided warm and dry was a much more pleasant option. I showed up on the doorstep with no reservation. I was warmly welcomed, shown the hot beverages and then checked in. Geoffrey and Elizabeth have preserved this historical and elegant hotel, paying homage to the original owner and making it comfortable for the modern traveler. I loved it so much, when my hike was complete I went back for another night and felt like I was returning to friends. And the stellar customer service did not end when I left. A forgotten, sentimental item was returned to me through the mail. I will return to the Old Clark Inn, and if anyone is traveling in the area, I highly recommend it.

This is a lovely, cozy, and spotlessly clean little inn. Friendly and kind couple runs the place. We relaxed in the common living room with a bottle of wine and a cute little fire. It feels like being at home. Comfy beds and you can walk to Alfredo's and a nice bar. Definitely

The Old Clark Inn is a great little spot! You’ll find a small bedroom with a private bath Mcguyver’d in, a comfy bed and an oversized cozy radiator or a window unit a/c depending on the season. (This is simply how old houses are, if this doesn’t suit you perhaps you should stay elsewhere.) There is a nice parlor with a fireplace and a guest kitchen with a Keurig, snacks, toaster, breakfast items and a microwave. The inn is very clean are it’s obvious that the innkeepers work hard to maintain and improve the property. We had a lovely stay. Marlinton is always very welcoming (as are your hosts at the inn.)Nearby activities: Alfredo’s restaurant is a very short walk, clean, great pizza fare and super friendly (in the pub at least, the dining room was full…we were able to sit at a pub table, grab a drink and have our food delivered to the table in to go containers.)The Greenbrier River Trail is an easy walk from the Inn.Walkability: Old Clark Inn is in a great spot for both exploring Marlinton and the trail!

I stayed at the Old Clark Inn for three nights as part of a bicycle trip to ride the Greenbrier River Trail for a couple of days. Booking my room was easy to do, and leading up to my stay, I received email communications outlining the self check-in procedures, parking, wi-fi, bike storage, etc. it was everything I needed to know. Elizabeth and Geoffrey were warm and friendly, and the house is adorable. My room was perfect, and the bed was very comfortable. I slept great after my bike rides. Of all the amenities, I especially appreciated having space in the guest refrigerator to store a few things. I would definitely stay here again!Rooms: My room had its own bathroom and shower. Plenty of hot water!Nearby activities: Marlinton is a biker and hiker paradise. So many options!Walkability: The inn is just steps away from the downtown area. If you want to venture further, the Greenbrier River Trail is a block away!

Awesome place. Booked a night for the Greenbrier River Trail and the self check in process was seem less. Just check your email for details on check in. The bike shed was helpful as well. Easy walk through the town and they had a fridge stocked for guests.

We had a group of 5 couples and we rode our motorcycles from Ohio.
We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Old Clark Inn. The accommodations were perfect for us as a group. The owners, Geoffrey and Elizabeth are just wonderful. Home like setting. Beautiful, takes you back in time to the good old days.
We 100 % will be coming back next year. ❤️❤️❤️

BEWARE IF BOOKING THROUGH AIRBNB….Booked on Airbnb for a couple night stay. I never received a key code to enter the place. Called, messaged, emailed, sent smoke signals and got no response from the owner. Knocked on the door and rang the doorbell with no luck. Called Airbnb who tried to contact the owner Geoffrey but got no response. Waited an hour on the front porch. Finally left, got dinner and headed to the next town. Owner finally responds at 7:40 ( we arrived at 4:30 pm) with the entry code and stated it was on the confirmation email. It was not as verified by myself, my girlfriend, and Airbnb support staff. Good luck!!!

I have been coming to Marlinton for many years as an alternative to the crazy Snowshoe prices. On a whim, we booked two nights at the Old Clark Inn. What a great place! It looks like it has just been built despite being 100 years old. Very clean. Fresh coffee (k cups) and snacks. The owners are awesome. Very warm and friendly They just bought the place in May of 2022.Highly recommend the Old Clark Inn!

We traveled from PA to explore the area around the Greenbrier Rail Trail. The Old Clark Inn is close to the trail. As soon as we arrived I noticed hummingbirds everywhere. The host did email me all the information I needed when we arrived but since the area literally has no cell service, I was bogged down with so many emails. I decided to contact them by phone, Marlinton has cell service. They quickly responded. The owners of the Old Clark Inn were very welcoming and friendly. They have so much knowledge of the area. They truly care about their community and want to work to improve it. My husband and I reserved suite, 5. We had two rooms and a full bath. The rooms were very clean and the beds were so comfortable. The fresh smelling cotton sheets and cotton bedspreads made for a restful nights' sleep. The hosts also provided a great assortment or coffee, tea, snacks, and breakfast items. There is also a microwave and fridge for use by all guests. I highly recommend anyone wanting to visit this part of West Virginia to stay. You won't be disappointed.
