It was such a cool little art gallery shop, so much in there, little trinkets and art pieces to buy, I stopped in and 1 of the artists happened to stop in, she was from states away but was in town for something, so i got a picture with her and her signature, so that was really really cool ?

Local co-op where the crafts are locally made. Worth the stop. If you don't buy anything it is still a nice place to look around.

A group of angels descended upon Hillsboro Elementary School, heaven sent by way of Pocahontas County, which is “almost heavenâ€. Six classes of students made art with objects from nature. The students' educations were enriched through this volunteer effort. Few children in the US have opportunities like this one and this teacher was grateful for the time and kindness put into this endeavor. On behalf of all our students, THANK YOU! What do I recommend about this group? Attention to detail, artistic creativity, and the willingness to give back to the community. Thank you again, ladies!

Fun little shop in the heart of Marlinton in an old rail road station. The co-op has a little over everything - paintings, tools/utensils, handmade bath products, and even handmade brooms. The artist who was working that day was very kind and we walked out with some really cool mixed media art.

Beautiful, high quality artisan goods made locally in an amazing building with a lot of history, peaceful setting and friendly staff who are the artisans. (Yes. I am one of them.) And there's great restaurants nearby and the Opera House programs - what's not to like?

What a great local gallery! You will find everything from wooden bowls to needle felt animals to jewelry to stained glass. Many of the items are "primitive", but there are also limited modern and contemporary themed pieces. Prices are moderate to high, what you would expect at a gallery. Location is convenient with plenty of parking. The artisan working was friendly and helpful. Note: if you have young children, space is limited inside which may prevent stroller access and there are many breakable items within reach of little hands. This is a great quick stop when going through the area, or a good option for purchasing a meaningful gift.

I bought a couple books there this weekend and I plan on buying more next time. This is a great place with a lot of beautiful types of artwork. I guarantee that they have something for everyone. The lady working was so friendly that we talked as if we had been friends for years. This is a must stop for me from now on when I visit Pocahontas County.
