We stopped in there on our way into town. It was 830 and they closed at 9 and did not hesitate to accommodate us. We ordered the Burger with bleu cheese and the mushroom and Swiss. One with coleslaw and the other with sweet potato fries. Both were yummy. We also ordered the dark cherry as well as a chocolate milkshake. Everything we got was delish. My husband ordered a bourbon he had never tried that he loved called pureless. Really cute spot. Really hospitable. Would highly recommend

This was a cool place to stop for a snack and a beer. They have breakfast pastries , ice cream, and normal pub house food , along with a few beers on tap, some local favorites, and limited alcohol choices. The building is a renovated old general store which had a lot of history. They also have live music periodically.

Fantastic service, food, and atmosphere! The young man taking care of us did an excellent job. We ordered the Rosewood sticks and would highly recommend them! Generous portion of crispy, cheesy goodness served with a marinara that tasted homemade. I had the soup du jour, which was an excellent sausage kale soup that was so tasty, it was impossible not to pick up the bowl and have a sip.I had the jerk chicken, and he had the meatballs. Both were very tasty, filling, and satisfying. The jerk chicken was perfectly spicy. We highly recommend the garlic bread too!We ordered stinky fries, wings and tiarmissu to go.Stinky fries were covered in fresh, spicy garlic and lots of buttery sauce. They were delicious with some ranch and Bleu cheese to dip.Wings were good and hot too!Tiarmissu was so incredible, I wanted to call and order a whole pan. Who would have thought the best tiarmissu you can find is in Hillsboro!Everything, right down to the dishes we were served on was thoughtfully done and perfect. We are eager to return!

Soup special (Sausage Kale) and grilled cheese were fabulous. I can also recommend the burgers. My favorite local brew on tap. Been here several times and the service is always great!

I got the cauliflower curry dish with salmon and LOVED it. Perfectly executed and the staff were friendly and responsive. For dessert I got the carrot cake and this was the only reason I gave 4/5 stars rather than 5/5. The carrot “cake” was more of a dense muffin experience with a thin layer of icing. While the flavor of it was palatable, it lacked the moisture and cake to icing ratio that is important with carrot cake. So, my only suggestion would be for them to either revisit their approach to carrot cake OR just call it a Spiced Carrot Muffin and leave it as-is! Overall though, I’d visit again.

per the usual his taste for a food was on point! The building has been remodeled and it’s very fitting for the area. The pub has wall to wall shelving, decorated with Americana Nicknacks. They have a beautiful bar to pony up to and have a cold iced tea or you can bring your own alcoholic beverages as they have not received their liquor license yet. They have very nice enclosed patios in the front & back for outdoor seating. They have a little stage with a piano as well!Whether you’re looking for an original blend of coffee or looking for a tasty meal this is this a great place to stop in Friday through Sunday. We went with the wings, and The Kennison Run (Chicken Breast, Bacon, Chipotle Mayo, Cheese, Lettuce & Tomato. The wings were hand breaded, seriously one of the crispy, crunchy wings I’ve had in a while. Killer Wings. The sandwich was outstanding as well. They didn’t cheap out on the bun, which in my opinion is the most important part of the sandwich. I’ll be back in the fall when I visit Renick again. If you’re heading down 219 through Hillsboro do yourself a favor and stop in to the Pub for some affordable fare that is prepped to perfection!Kid-friendliness: The servers were all very friendly, attentive and timely. Kids would most likely have a blast indulging in one of Hillsboro Pubs yummy Milk Shakes!Parking: Parking is limited but we came towards closing so we didn’t have a problem. If it was busy it’d probably be a little bit of an issue if you had to park away and walk if you had some type of disability.
