Came to CVS to put my money through Gateswipe, which I had done the night before but my Navy Federal card limit to take out money in the ATM is 1000 so I was coming back with only $230 more Joshua (Manager) was the only one there at the time. He said kept on insisting that I put down a phone number (I don't have a active phone at the moment) I told him I was okay with not putting my phone number down because I didn't wanna have to explain to him that I do not have a active phone with people behind me. He was so persistent on embarrassing me. He said that "There's no way now days people just don't have a phone number." he was helping me at the checkout when he went around the counter, ended up, helping another gentleman next to me, and then proceeded to tell me to give him the scan code, and he took it to the self check out and said they do it there, but you can only do 200 which was a problem because I needed to do 230. He was the climbing to help me. I end up, leaving called corporate explain the whole ordeal. Yes, I knI went to Walgreens to pay my rent using my Gates swipe, but their system was down. The customer service representative told me that someone else could help me, so I went back in. However, the person who was supposed to help me accused me of prank calling and refused to assist me. He helped everyone else in front of me and even those who were behind me. Despite my efforts to get a DC phone number and download Google phones to help him out, he still declined to help me. Another gentleman who was working with him eventually helped me, but Joshua (the first guy) continued to make rude comments about me and threatened to get me banned from the CVS. I felt belittled and disrespected, so I called corporate to report what happened. I won't be going back to CVS, but I hope Joshua realizes that some people prioritize paying rent over their phone bills, so their phone may not always be active or working.

I had a migraine and went to the Med Express across the street from this CVS. I went inside with my prescription and she told me it would be 30 minutes. I told her I would wait. I went out to my car and 30 minutes later, I pulled up to the drive through. The guy said they weren't ready and it would be another 30 minutes. I told him about my conversation with the young lady inside and he said they had not gotten around to filling them and I would need to come back in another 30 minutes. If I could have taken my prescription back - I would have. Go to Walgreens across the way for better service.

Pharmacist decided not to show up on Christmas Day although the franchise store is open. The pharmacy was advertised as open on Christmas Day. I had a last minute emergency prescription called in to this location for this very reason. If the pharmacists don't want to work on Christmas Day then don't advertise as open and waste people's time. Completely unprofessional. Makes me wonder how prescriptions are being filled. I hope this franchise goes out of business soon.

Run away from this CVS as fast as you can. My 5-month old was severely constipated and we were in and out of the Pediatrician during the day to get the issue resolved. The baby was in severe pain (screaming) passing hard stool and the doctor called into this CVS to order a baby laxative around 1pm or 2pm. This happened on December 23, 2019. I arrived at the Pharmacy drive through, waited about 30 minutes in line, only to find that the Pharmacist (young Asian woman) said: "oh yeah, your prescription is not ready. You need to come back in like 30 minutes". Please keep in mind that the Pharmacy had 5, 6 hours to put the order together. It wasn't like I arrived an hour after leaving the Pediatrician (when the order was put in). I didn't understand why 5, 6 hours wouldn't be enough time, but I felt that the holiday around the corner could've made them busy inside the store, or something, so I remained calm, and said "okay, fine, I'll come back in 30 minutes". I returned to the drive through an hour later, stood in line again for about 30 minutes, and the same lady says: "oh yeah (laughs), sorry, it's not ready yet, so I need you to get back in line AGAIN so you can give us another 30 minutes". I start to become very frustrated. I didn't just give her 30 mins. I gave her an extra 1.5 hours, and I STILL have to do the line all over again!? I get in line on the drive through AGAIN, wait another 30 minutes, and she finally gives me the medication. I start to drive away, but something tells me to double check the package. I open the medication on the CVS parking lot to make sure they didn't make any mistakes, and realize that I need a special syringe in order to administer the 2.5 ml dosage. I get out of the car and go into the actual store to buy the syringe, livid at this point, and notice that the store and Pharmacy were basically empty. I buy the syringe, and head over to the register to pay. There was this guy with 2 or 3 girls paying for something and no one else in line. I start to wait. And wait. And wait. And I start to hear jokes from the guy and the lady at the register, taking their sweet a%$$^$% time. And I keep waiting, and waiting and waiting. The guy and women continue to joke around. A second CVS rep arrives and starts to hang out around the registers and never offers to ring me up. The second person ended up being the Manager on call that day by the way. After several minutes, I realized that the guy "paying" for the item that was taking FOREVER, was actually a CVS employee. At one point I saw him grab his fob and go into the back of the register through this side door which can only be accessed by employees I believe. Anyway, I start to get visibly annoyed and found myself making a conscious effort not to lose it. I had zero sleep the night before trying to handle the issue with my baby and the wait was being caused by a bunch of CVS employees at the register, not any customers. After looking visibly annoyed, the second CVS rep decides to ring me up. I pay, and I quietly ask if she was the Manager. She says yes. I let her know about my experience. She says "oh, sorry".

Customer service etiquette must be taught when you are on the front line dealing with the public. When you go to fill you child's perscription and this is the 4th time that you're told this CVS does not carry the ml size or just flat out do not have your perscription at that location is a major disappointment after you waited in line TWICE for more than 15 minutes. The pharmacist says "We can't fill this because we don't carry the ml containers." And just stares at me. I'm waiting for any type of customer service. nothing! I respond "Okay, can you call the Target CVS to check if they do?!" She looks at me like I spoke a foreign language so I repeat my question. She then does her search and says "yes they have it there." And gives me back the prescription. I look at her waiting for some type of communication/instruction and nothing. So I say "Sorry for your wait and for the inconvenience! You have a blessed day! Why thank YOU for YOUR concern. You have a blessed day too!" She looks at me confused and says "Thanks!" I responded "Wow!" And just left. Wth! CVS YOU GOTTA DO BETTER!!

Terrible pharmacy. I had a prescription called in. When I got there they hadn't processed it. Made it active, but told me that I would have to wait 15 minutes to get my meds. After 30 minutes I approached the desk. No one knew that I was waiting in the store for it. This happens every time I have had to go there. There is a Walgreens across the street, I guess try them next time.

I have been using this CVS for my pharmacy for 12 years. I went to pick up a script and I had a couple of over the counter items. I was told that they only handled prescriptions at that register. I asked since when? He said it was always their policy. I am transferring my scripts to another pharmacy.

I would advise not coming to this CVS if you need medicine quickly. We typically wait 5-7 times as long as other pharmacies including other CVS locations. Every time we come here I contemplate moving to the Walgreens across the street. The one time we came here needing a prescription quickly for a child with ear infection we indeed did switch it to Walgreens after waiting an hour past when told it would be ready. Always a frustrating experience here. You have been warned.

Through husband's insurance company I have to use CVS. I take a lot of medication. I suffer from Depression, PTSD and Anxiety. I know that there are people that abuse the medication that I hate to take. I know that people become addicted to the medication that makes me throw up at least once a week. I realize that they are considered "happy" pills. I wish they were for me. They barely make it manageable for me to get through the day. I MISS Reed's Pharmacy. CVS treats me as though I'm an addict and/or not capable of thinking clearly. Because they can never fill all of my medication within the time I'm allowed to refill I have to pick up my medication. Usually my husband does because he is "Normal" but they can't fill them all on time and I have to go back several days and several times a day. Several times I have had to go without my medication. It is always awful to go, though this last time was worse. I went to pick up 4 prescriptions that my husband had dropped off for me. They gave me three. When I said I had 4 they repeated three times as though I was hard of hearing. On the fourth time she patted my hand and said that I should ask my husband because I was confused. I said I wasn't and she proceeded to tell me that my illness was difficult and she would pray for me. My daughter who is 16 was with me. I was embarrassed, started to have a panic attack and never once was rude or raised my voice. When my husband got home from work he called and they said of course there were 4 and maybe I needed my medication adjusted that they had told me that they were waiting on approval. Yes I maybe crazy but my daughter is not. They were lying and then tried to blame it on me. This happens all the time to me. I realize that people are not educated when it comes to mental illness. Though a Pharmacy should be educated. After calling the insurance I still have no choice but to go to CVS.

Fantastic pharmacist and mostly friendly techs. Got a pain med script filled. Was told a 2 hour wait but pharmacist saw I was waiting and in pain so he went above and beyond and filled the script quickly so I actually only had to wait 10 minutes thanks to is wonderful act of empathy. I'll def give him a great rating when cvs sends me a survey to complete.

I would not recommend anyone attempt to fill a prescription with this pharmacy. There is always a line and the technicians are typically rude. For several months I would refill and would be promised a prescription at a certain time and then when I arrived several hours after that time would then be told that I would need to wait another 45 minutes because it wasn't ready yet. Once I was told I had to wait for them to count out the pills, which was a lie, because the packet comes pre-prepared from the pharmaceutical companies. Will be moving my service to another pharmacy - any other pharmacy.

I recently called the pharmacy and my call was not picked up for 45 minutes. When it was answered the pharmacy clerk answered and after saying hello she hung up! The service at this store is deplorable! As a consume I am locked into CVS because it is the pharmacy our business uses. I am guessing it was the lowest quote but if not the they are clearly the lowest in terms of service.

The good thing about this CVS is that their pharmacy staff is generally very friendly. It makes up for the fact that it takes FOREVER to get a prescription filled. Walgreens is much faster and their pharmacy is open 24 hours which has been a lifesaver during trips to the ER in the middle of the night with my son. The thing I don't care for too much at this CVS is their staff inside the actual store. When I look at makeup and cosmetics, I am almost always followed around and watched by an employee if they're not busy at the checkout counter. It makes me very uncomfortable to shop with someone staring at me every time I look up. Finally, not all of the employees there seem to be fully educated on all of the services that CVS offers. When I travel, I take a prepaid reloadable debit card with me, rather than my bank card. I load the card with money before I leave, and I have done so at CVS dozens of times. This particular evening I needed some cosmetics and went to go pay for them at the counter in addition to reloading my debit card. The lady at the counter gruffly told me "there's an ATM over there. I can't do over $40 in cash here" I said "I can load money onto my card at the ATM?" She stood there and thought about what she said for a moment (which obviously made no sense) and then decided to go ahead and take my transaction. Without apologizing for misunderstanding what I asked for, she then gruffly told me it had to be done in two separate transactions. Also not true, as I have done this dozens of times here. After waiting 7-8 minutes for her to fiddle with the cash register to swipe my card and ring up a nail polish and a lip gloss, my transaction was finally complete. I was not thanked for my business or anything, even though I was very patient with this lady. Needless to say, I haven't reloaded my debit card at CVS since.

I've been a loyal CVS customer for years. My experience varies based on who's working in the front desk. They do not carry some of the items I'd like to purchase on a regular basis-Suave styling products for example. Their coupon policy varies based on who's working at check-out. I've always been able to double coupons at CVS stores in Virginia or DC, but here, some of the clerks tend to be argumentative about accepting CVS printed coupons. Others scan them and they are accepted. Also, I carry a small backpack with me because I go to the store after the gym and have my wallet and water bottle inside. Twice, I've had clerks or the manager stop me and look at what I'm doing or ask me if I need help with anything. I find that offensive and have never had that happen to me elsewhere. I carry that bag with me to Food Lion, restaurants, the gym, etc., and never have a problem. Finally, I must confess that I have a great job with a nice salary and do not need to steal from CVS. I wish the workers there were friendlier and slower to judge. And, they must understand they're working for a major corporation where a $2 coupon wouldn't matter in the whole scheme of things. It is better to keep a loyal customer happy..and not choose to take their business across the street to Walgreens, than to save $2. I'm considering a Walgreen's card these days...

The saying "the customer is always right" does not pertain to this place, especially when a worker makes a mistake. Had an old hag working there tell me I was wrong and was very rude and short. I will not spend my money here anymore. WalGreens across the street is where I will be going for now on.
