Disappointed with the service. While they were somewhat efficient, there were issues—this was my second time using them, and communication wasn’t as smooth as before. Even though they addressed a problem, it shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

Slow and uncommunicative. They packed everything, but not very thoughtfully—my soft clothes were removed from drawers even though I would’ve preferred they stay. Overall, not impressed.

We hired Mamas Movers in December to empty out my husbands storage unit and ship us the things he was wanting. They emptied out the storage and FaceTimed him to let him see what was in there. The owner was supposed to FaceTime him one more time so he can see what exactly she kept back to send him. The owner continues to give my husband the run around and has yet to FaceTime him so he can tell her which items exactly he would like shipped or thrown away. He has been very patient and understanding for weeks on end with no communication from her unless he reaches out. If you are from out of state like us, please use a different company. I will be reporting them, making a Facebook post, and leaving reviews everywhere to save people the hassle that my husband is having to go through!
Edit to add - for free? We paid you. He had a bunch of nice things in there that he said you could keep or sell. If you felt we needed to pay you more, that should have been included. Lack of accountability is not becoming of you or your business.

Please don’t use this company! We chose this company for a local move in West Virginia (50 miles round trip). Beware they will quote you a really low price to get your business and then ale their time losing so you end up paying them just as much as any other company. It’s not worth it. Just go with the bigger name company you know you can trust. We rented the UHaul and did all the packing. All the movers needed to do was disassemble some furniture and load the furniture and boxes into the 26 foot truck. Seems simple enough, but these guys are so disorganized that it took them longer to disassemble furniture than it would have taken us to do it ourselves. It took them longer than expected to load up so I was promised an additional mover during unloading so they could finish faster. Well, the additional mover did not show up. They moved so slowly that my husband decided to assemble our master bed on move in day so we could actually go to sleep at a reasonable hour. On top of all this, they actually lost pieces to one of our child’s crib, and were unable to assemble it on the day we moved in. They agreed to purchase replacement parts and come back the next day to assemble the crib. They did come back the next day, but the pieces they purchased didn’t fit the crib. After trying to get the crib together for about an hour without any luck, they had to leave to go to their next job without any intention of coming back. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. I contacted the owner who acted like it was no big deal. She stated the parts were in our house somewhere, we just have to find them. The movers couldn’t even tell me where they put the parts! How can she expect us to find them? This is a complete lack of accountability on the company’s part. There also seems to be some sketchy stuff going on with this company. They aren’t registered with the Department of Transportation like West Virginia requires them to be, and when we requested a copy of our signed contract, I didn’t hear back. I will be pursuing other action against this company. No one should be treated like this. We would never hire these movers again. Please do yourself a favor and hire someone else. This company deserves to be put out of business. They don’t deserve your money.

While the movers were respectful, this is the first time that I am giving a company a negative review. The movers were disorganized, I hired four movers because it was a large house. They estimated six hours and it took them 10 mainly because two of the men were working Quickly whereas two of the men were not. I had an additional stop for my move where some things were going into storage and some things were coming to my home. Multiple items that were supposed to come to. My home were placed in storage and vice versa, additionally a large number of items were left behind. I have reached out to the owner on four occasions to try and discuss the Situation and resolve these issues. Each time I was told that I would get a call back in a few minutes and I never received a return call. I cannot in good faith. Recommend this company as I feel that they are not Efficient or honest, as several items turned out missing.

Sarina and her crew were amazing! I’m so glad we hired them to help us move literally everything we owned from our storage unit into our new home. Not to mention, they were also available within 4 days of needing their services! My husband and I were worried whoever we hired to help us move would be upset with how high we stacked our unit but the moment we opened it up, they lifted that weight right off of our shoulders! They were professionally positive, optimistic and said it wouldn’t be a problem at all! Sarina communicated with me every step of the way from start to finish. She texted me and sent pictures as the move was in progress. Her whole crew was professional and made sure to take extra special care of everything they laid their hands on. We cannot reccomend them enough! Seriously, if you are within their moving area, they will take great care of you! We will definitely be contacting this crew again for any and all future moves! Thanks again to Sarina and ALL of the young men and women who make up the wonderful crew of “Mamas Movers!”

Mama's movers were awesome! I hired them to move some big items from my first floor to my second in preparation for a surgery. I was on a time limit and they offered me same day service. I had to have some smaller items moved before they came so we set up for 2 days later. They showed up and got right to work. They do have a 2 hour minimum but I was so shocked to see the guys got right to it! ( I have had moving companies before take thier time on the clock, not these guys! ) They moved all 4 very large items in under an hour. The guys were super nice and most of all treated my pets so well. ( my dog even jumped in the car with them when they were getting ready to leave lol) I definitely would recommend them over and over! Thank you all for the great service and awesome experience!

They recently moved my office. Movers arrived on time and worked hard to get everything done. Most importantly they were careful with our stuff. Definitely recommend this company.

We hired these movers to help us for unloading a truck. I confirmed the day before and 30 minutes before the truck arrived they canceled. I will never use these people again and I would never recommend them. I understand emergencies happen, but this was totally unacceptable. They found out 11pm the night before but chose to tell me at 6:35am when the truck arrived at 7am.

No return call, no show for quote appointment - large job, over 8,000 square feet of furniture and equipment. I would give one star, but they responded to the first call on 9/20/23. I left a voice mail and someone called me back pretty quickly. The person asked about visiting for a quote on 9/21 around 10:30 but I had another appointment at 11. She said they could come and do the quote "around 9:30". No one showed. At 9:56am I called and left a voice mail but no return call.

Wonderful company. Everyone had a beautiful disposition and very knowledgeable of their work. Worked effectively and efficiently. And the prices were reasonable. They don’t mess around with your time. Worth every penny. I will definitely use them again!

They showed up late. Were very slow getting moving padding the final bill. They were unprofessional and lost screws to several pieces of furniture that they broke down to the point where we are going to have to replace said furniture. Will not be using this service again.

Alright. So, I just hired Mama’s Movers two days ago for my move and had such a great experience, that I decided to have them unload the truck for my brother yesterday.I will start with the cons, for which there were not many, for full transparency.Cons:- Can take a few hours for a response.- Were late by about 15 minutes or so because they needed drinks for the job and because it was down pouring. I was called and they apologized for the inconvenience. I wasn’t upset at all - it happens.That’s it. That is the list of cons. And the first can be explained fairly easily, which will be done below.Pros:- This is a family owned business, so “mama” comes with her SUV and supervises the move. She can get quite busy coordinating with other people on the phone or speaking with her current customer (that would be me in this example ?), so it would be rude or irresponsible to answer calls in the middle of a job. Most responses were prompt and professional. This was only the case for one or two texts I had sent.- Professionalism - the young men doing the work are young, 2 being under 21 (I do believe), but you wouldn’t be able to tell from their work ethic. The oldest among the 4 has been doing this for 10 years (7 with the company) and you can tell. “Yes sir.”, “excuse me sir, I have a question.”, and “can I help fix this?” was pretty much all heard before I got them to relax a bit (I prefer casual conversation to help ease people’s minds as it actually improves moods and efficiency. Being worried about the customer micromanaging causes undo stress and makes jobs like this hard (I’ve done this type of work before).- Friendly - they were super friendly even before I got them to relax a bit.- Efficiency/Work Ethic - these guys loaded 3/4ths of a 26’ truck in an hour, traveled with us across town (20 minute drive) and had it unloaded in 2.5 hours. To be clear, they moved most boxes to the third floor, including my dressers, TVs and boxes of text books (my personal library). They worked hard, like a well oiled machine. They took two - boxes at a time and made sure they were NOT padding time to get paid more. It was so refreshing to see that kind of dedication.- Quality - there were a few times something rubbed slightly against a wall and left a small color smudge, but only a single bump against a wall made a small 1 inch long depression in the wall. That’s it. 2.5 hours of the fastest movers I had ever seen and only one instance of damage that I can fix in 5 minutes. That’s quality. The even took apart and put back together my bougie bed frame. They lost the cotter pin that goes to one of the bolts, but that was a 5 second fix as well. It wasn’t even an inconvenience. They offer to fix any damage, on the spot, immediately informing the customer of damage.Overall impression - they made such a positive impression on us that we called them the very next day and they met us to unload our brother’s items from a FULL 26’ and 15 U-Haul truck. They finished the entire unloading, while putting everything together, in exactly 3 hours. 3 HOURS. And that is AFTER they finished another job and includes them loading the smaller truck with items that couldn’t fit and had to go to a storage unit. Awesome! We gave them a 20% tip the first day and a 33% tip the second day.I cannot recommend this business enough. They also clean houses and provide other services. I WILL be using them again if I need them. Fantastic experience.

We ordered a couch delivered to our home. The couch company movers tried but could not get the couch into the house. I called mama’s movers and they came the same day. They hoisted the couch over the patio and into the house within a couple of minutes. Efficient and a great job done.
