Mid afternoon today I was in checkout and the cashier name tag identifies as Emma finished checking gentleman in front of me and started my order when she noticed he had left his wallet laying on the bagging area. Emma immediately excused herself and went running after him calling out sir, sir and caught him and gave him his wallet. I thanked her for her honesty and making sure she caught him. If GE has a merit program this young lady definitely deserves the recognition. Don’t see much of that in today’s young people. Kudos to Emma

Customer service? Ha. Today I had a disturbing, to say the least, experience at the Strabane Square Giant Eagle. A young woman working the express line bagged my 3 items without saying anything. No smile, no thank you, not even the wretched "have a nice day". Just an empty stare that pretty much said "get the f outta here a******** Can't management find friendlier, smiling people to man it's stations? Don't tell me it can't be done. Go to any Trader Joe's or Chick-fil-A. Unless it's absolutely imperative, my Giant Eagle shopping visits have ended.

I don't think the prices here are that great. And, I experienced the slowest and rudest cashier today. Rude. And I am nice. I always say hello and ask how they are doing. It's a thankless job and they deserve respect. But, this guy was just nasty. The best thing I can say is that their carts are nice.

Terrible, shelves are never stocked. Fresh fruits and veggies are always out. Meat counter always closes early.

Giant Eagle might the most decent grocery store in Morgantown (but I still don't like it much). You need a membership card to shop (but the membership is free, just the cost of going to customer service and waiting for someone to take down every personal detail). Their produce is often a little better than the other options in town (but also more expensive).

Wine, and Beer... Oh, and Starbucks! Giant Eagle impresses me in a sense that they are always adding new items to their inventory. Each time I visit, it seems like I leave with something new and exciting which I like. The employees are so hit or miss, very easily you can have your day made or totally ruined by the attitudes in this place. Beer sales, always pleasant! Fresh seafood... wow that guy knows his stuff! Front cashiers, (other than the poor woman who ALWAYS helps me at the self checkout)... bread department.. total Debbie Downers! Oh and for the last few months.. nearly every single time I visit Giant Eagle one of my items does not ring up with correct price. Response is always "you'll have to see customer service"
