“Our daughter Carley tore her ACL during travel volleyball practice last February. She had a quad graph surgery a month later to replace her ACL. Following surgery, she started an intense PT plan for 5 months to regain full range of motion in her left leg. After PT it was time for a more advanced strength / rehabilitation plan to strengthen her quad and overall body from inactivity. Our Physical Therapist, Colony Hopkins, recommended Jerry Handley of Viking Performance Training so Carley could continue her progression in strength training and conditioning. It’s been the BEST decision!! Jerry and his staff have been wonderful! We selected 1 on 1 personal training for Carley. The upfront evaluation, weekly personalized workouts and 1 on 1 monitoring during all sessions have allowed Carley to increase her strength, mobility and over confidence in “getting back out there” and on the field!! Although the sessions are challenging, Carley enjoys the feeling of accomplishment and progress she is making in going each week. And for us as parents, it has eased our minds knowing that she is getting such professional and knowledgeable attention. We highly recommend Viking and are so thankful for this great experience when navigating this type of injury. Thank you Jerry!”

“I became a member at Crossfit Ridgeline in 2023, and it is the best crossfit gym in the area by far! This is my second crossfit gym. The people who are members here are genuine, and the coaches are very good at teaching how to do the lifts properly as well as providing the motivation when needed especially after a long day at work! If you are a beginner or a avid crossfitter this is the gym for you!”

“Very nice gym. At first it may seem a little cramped, however there's plenty of room and all the equipment that you could ask for including full on deadlift stations and rope stations. I would have given 5 stars if the changing facilities were a little more accommodating instead of two smaller closets.”

“I am from out of town and often travel a lot for work and love visiting local cycle studios. But let me tell you, this is one of the best studios I have been to. Everyone is extremely welcoming and the class is amazing. The instructors are truly inspiring and I would definitely recommend this studio to visitors and locals!!!”

“Fields are just out of town and located in beautiful pocket of farmland. Fields are somewhat hard to play on especially with minimal rain. Pavilion and bathroom facility right next to field. Do not have to walk far from parking lot.”

His specialty is personal training, but his understanding of nutrition, physiology, anatomy, safety awareness, and cultural awareness provides a holistic approach you will learn from. Steve is passionate about helping others and makes sure my mom and I have safe and beneficial exercise experiences. The facility and other employees of Pro Performance RX at Mylan Park create the perfect exercise experience.”

“Braxton is an excellent trainer and a huge asset to Pro Performance. He listens and understands your goals and puts you on the path to reach them. Me being easily distracted and a talker, he knows how to respectfully keep me on track, and still have great conversation. He knows when you need a push, as well as when you need to back off a little. He also pays attention to your form, and explains how and why you need to move a specific way to get the maximum benefit and avoid injury. Highly recommend him to train anyone who is new to strength training, as well as anyone who wants a regular form and workout plan check. With his guidance and your work, it doesn't take long at all to start seeing results.”

“I've been a member of the Lakeview Fitness Center for two years now and I really like it. The people that come to work out aren't pretentious. It isn't a 'meat market' -- it's regular people coming to stay active and be healthy. There are some big dudes that come, but most are nice and everyone seems very humble. The facility is a little old, and some staff members just sit around, but there are others that are very attentive. ”

“Everytime I come home to visit Morgantown, I typically go to the Mylan park location to train. I saw the other location online to check it out despite some odd reviews .Although somewhat small, it is a very nice gym and place to train. However, there are some issues to note. It was a Saturday morning at about 10am, but no one was manning the front desk. Moreover, I did an entire 1 hour session without seeing a single staff member. It was kind of eerie.Also, the gym was disheveled. Plates were everywhere, out of order and out of place.There are a couple of reasons for this:1. The Gym patrons are primarily comprised of apathetic, lazy college students that have zero interest in gym etiquette and personal responsibility.2. The gym is understaffed, unmotivated and mismanaged.It's a shame to see such a nice gym treated so poorly. This definitely is a 5-star caliber gym, but currently it's suffering from some sort of malaise.”
