“We are from Parkersburg and started calling every Vet in town at 8am, told them something was bad wrong with our kitten and they flat out said sorry we can't fit you in. Finally before noon checked the Ripley area and Dr Shockey said bring her down we will wait on you. Gave her medicine and got her back on her feet. Great people.”

“My 2 year old GSD had to have several staples removed after emergency surgery for GDV. I came here because Dr. Blankenship had seen him at KVVEH and was amazing. My dog is quite difficult (animal aggressive & very stubborn) but the staff was phenomenal with him. The patience and genuine care they showed while hiding their frustration (he was not a very good boy and some staples were hard to get out) was above & beyond what I expected. Hopefully he will not have any other issues but if he does, this is where I want him to go.”

When I called the sweet lady that answered which I later found out was Dr. Shockey’s wife was willing to stay open late so my little guy could be seen. Upon arrival Dr. Shockey immediately got us in and out professionally and without breaking the bank. Highly recommend this place, very sweet and genuine people.”
