Warm confit salad- superb!! This little gem is a wee dram expensive for a very good reason - the food items are 99.5% f from scratch, locally sourced and home grown with the most delectable flavors. Thank you for sharing your chef with us!

Really nice ambiance and a nice dinner option on the mountain. We were able to make a reservation a day before going. The staff was very friendly, but when we went there was only one waiter serving the entirety of the restaurant while there were multiple hosts waiting at check-in. The pork chops were lovely, and the rest of the table agreed all of their meals were pretty good as well. The carrot cake is HUGE (the menu even says to share it) and it was fairly decent but not out of this world. I'd recommend going here one evening if looking for a nicer option one night if here for a good chunk of time- a good option for larger groups. Note you'll be able to hear the bar music above, but we didn't mind.

One of the best meals I have ever had! And I dont say that lightly. Our server was sweet and attentive. Our drinks were delicious. The calamari was the absolute best Ive had. Not rubbery at all, the sauce was soo good. The trout was so incredibly fresh and the pork chop was so juicy and tender with an amazing glaze. The apple pie dessert with cinnamon ice cream really capped this near perfect meal. Good job Appalachia Kitchen!! ?????

I mistakenly had dinner last Monday night, and it was a joke. My brother and I were asked to wait to be seated and when we were it was in an empty dinning room. The server was nice but had never done the job before and the manager didn't care. My lobster bisque arived before my beer, but the whole experience was pretty tolerable right up to the point where they began setting the table right next to us for the final and only other table of the night. When I asked why would you do this, and why did you make us wait to be seated the response was "I didn't want to sweep that section." After that my brother didn't feel comfortable eating there and we went upstairs were we at out $50 steaks and were charged full price for this ridiculous experience.

Things unraveled right away. We had a 6:30 PM reservation, arrived on time and were told our table wasn’t ready. We were seated 5 minutes later and waited another 10+ minutes for a server (not even an acknowledgement from the 1/2 dozen staff — including the hostess — that passed our table in a mostly empty restaurant). My girlfriend finally mentioned something to the hostess and received an eye roll for inquiring. Seriously. The hilarity continued when we tried to order a bottle of wine. The QR code/web site for the wine list was down. Great, how about a printed list? Sorry, don’t have one. So after a bit of Q&A we just picked a bottle of the Cab they sell by the glass (the only by the glass red on the menu) but for some reason the price was now $14 more than the price on the menu.Bread (yeast rolls) were served and they were actually quite good, although the butter was served in a plastic Dixie cup. Next was the lamb confit cabbage roll and it was unremarkable. The roasted beet salad was delicious - fresh, perfectly seasoned. Entrees were also very good (although they were served while we were still eating our salad). My girlfriend had beef tenderloin and it was perfectly prepared. I had elk osso buco and it was room temperature and a little dry (figured it might be since the meat is so lean) but it was really flavorful and the ‘blood grits’ were the best I’ve ever had. The only downside was the accompanying Brussels sprouts were ridiculously over-salted.Food overall was B+Front of house was F (total failure with the exception of the food runners who seemed to be the only personable, conscientious staff)

Tried Appalachia Kitchen for the first time last night and it was pretty disappointing. I got the filet that comes with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, and the only thing that was remotely worth it was the filet. The mashed potatoes were 100% instant mashed potatoes, creamed spinach was fine just dry. Not sure if they ran out of stuff last night and had to improvise but it was pretty disappointing for a $55 dollar meal that I barely ate. Scallops were okay, you only get about 3-4 small scallops. Potatoes were definitely instant. Also had a party of 7 and we were told we couldn't split the check up (two couples and 3 singles) so we had to have one person pick up the whole check and split it up on our own which was pretty inconvenient.

Wow!!! Had dinner for Valentine's Day. It was delicious. I had the osso bucco. Husband had the maple glazed pork chops. Lobster bisque was amazing. Our server was so sweet and kind. It was packed!! Expected that. Restaurant is very nice. You could see the snowmakers grooming.

AK never disappoints! From the ambiance, foodie creations to the excellent staff, it's always a treat to dine here. London was amazing and 100-% spot on recommending the trout cakes for appetizer. I had the elk shank, grits & brussels and my husband had the pork chop & squash risotto. Thank you for a lovely evening. See you again next ski season

The food is usually amazing but this time it was not it. Perhaps it was the day or perhaps it was the chef but the combinations weren’t good and some of the food was cold.

Great place to enjoy a meal after a long day of skiing. My pork chop was very tender, juicy, and had a great spicy glaze on top. We ordered the carrot cake for dessert and it was enough to feed 5 people and tasted great too! I give it 4 stars because the lobster bisque contains no lobster chucks in it despite the menu stating “Maine lobster” . It is more of a cream of lobster soup.

Overpriced. Lobster bisque and seafood pasta not good/very fishy. Very sweet service

Always the go to eatery when we visit Snowshoe. The filet was excellent and cooked to perfection. Service was outstanding.Dietary restrictions: Always have great gluten free choices.

Great food but the service was unbelieveablely slow... this might have been simply our waitress, as the table mext to us was sat, served, and finished before our food even came out, and their party wad twice the size of ours. Parking is also a nightmare unless you take the resort shuttle.
