This was our first trip to Snowshoe. We had a wonderful experience. The phone reservation staff was extremely helpful in getting a package put together that included kids lessons, rentals, and lodging. The village environment was impressive. We also lucked out with great weather. The Ballhooter lift line was substantial, but it was easy to find great runs and lifts with no lines even during a busy Saturday. Silver Creek is also a great option for new skiers. It was a great trip. We will be back!

0 places to eat on a tuesday. Every restaurant (thats actually open which is half) has an hour plus wait from staff too busy to acknowledge you.Checkin staff couldnt tell us which building our room was in. Checkin staff did not know what an adventure atv tour and we could not book it. We found the adventure booth as they were coming back at 6pm and they had plenty of room.Nobody remotely cares at this place. The second star is only because of the nice guy at one of the lifts.

As a first timer/beginner on the slopes the experience was superb. And the trails were fun. Def coming back

The slopes are great and there is a lot of variety on the level of difficulty on the trails. The little village and the restaurants on the slope top are really cool and add a unique flavor to the experience. During lunch times the restaurants get packed and wait times are unbelievably long so plan to eat at off hours or bring a snack.

NOT a gay-friendly travel destination. Lovely views, really nice rentals (Camp 4) but this is not worth visiting. While resorts like Camelback and Killington make sure everyone feels welcome, I have never experienced the kind of gross homophobia our group experienced in the bars/restaurants on the Snowshoe village property-- from both patrons and staff.

We had such a fun time on this trip! Definitely, great for family. They have many different restaurants, and shops. I’m not a big skier, as well as my younger two kids. We enjoyed just hanging out in the Village while the others skied. The shuttles made it real helpful getting around the area. Everyone there was nice and very helpful!

We stayed at the Snowshoe apartments (house number 1).10 SNOWSHOE DRIVESNOWSHOE, WV 26209We stayed in a 2b 1b apartment which was supposed to come with Tv and all kinds of channels, a fully equipped kitchen and the assumption that it would be clean. None of that was true. TV never worked, the sofa bed sheets were dirty and had food in them, the kitchen didn't have the basic needs upon arrival! No salt and pepper, the dish soap was diluted with water and no shampoo or soap. In addition, the floors were dirty (not vacuumed) and visible food was attached to the carpet. We called for help and asked for sheets, vacuum cleaner, a maintenance for the TV. One person came out and tried to fix the TV, and he said that the problem was with the satellite and he need to contact them. The satellite connecter did not have the necessary disk inside. Nothing was resolved. We spend over $1500 and this was our experience. We were glad that they left us a couple of rolls of toilet paper and paper towels. Never to go again!!! False advertising

Snowshoe resort was perfect for our family winter ski/snowboard vacation. We stayed at mountain lodge. Everything was centrally located with the village within walking distance. We loved that mountain lodge had a play area, arcade, and ice rink for the kids when the slopes closed for the day. Both of our kids were in preski/(playcare) and snowboarding lessons. The instructors were great with the kids and I cannot stress enough how amazing the playcare workers were. They remembered us from a year ago! Greeting our eldest by name even though he wasn’t staying with them this year! Snowshoe does a great job of making you feel at home and providing great service and slopes to spend a relaxing vacation. Our first day of stay I was worried because it had just rained for two days but the snowshoe snow machines and workers made a huge effort over night to get the slopes in skiing condition. It was probably the best snow conditions I had seen in years. Thankfully the weather relented and we had a few days of flurries so in addition to the snow making it was a great time.

Secluded, but in it's own world. Gets very cold in winter. Resorts are excellent accommodations. Great restaurants and shopping. Great atmosphere. You won't wanna leave.
