It’s never good with Joe Holland. They’ll charge you hundreds just to tell you what’s wrong with it, and then the service they provide is going to be low-quality. Best part of Joe Holland is the friendly shuttle driver. So glad I was able to trade my Chevy in for a Jeep so I won’t have to be back for service. Drive to St. Albans, Chelyan, or Hurricane for Chevrolet service instead.

If I could rate zero stars I would. I can’t tell you how many times after a so-called 50 (or however many they say) point inspection my car was returned to me with the check engine light still on. You also have to watch them like a hawk to ensure they actually do ALL of the service you are told you are getting. I’ve heard other customers ask if a particular service was done only to hear no it wasn’t. There is little feedback & good luck getting through to someone that actually knows what is going on with your car. I just had to take my car to another service center because the wheel wobble issue they supposedly fixed is reoccurring after just a few hundred miles. Stay away from this place if at all possible.Services: Steering & suspension repair

Buyer beware. My MIL only went in to have her SUV inspected. It only has about 25k miles on it. They told her she needed the brake rotors turned, which unfortunately she agreed to. I’m highly suspicious that a vehicle with only 25k miles needed the brake rotors turned. I also drive this vehicle every week, and it doesn’t have any brake problems. The bill was almost $500. She does not have this kind of money, and it will take her a very long time to pay it off. I feel like they very much took advantage of her, and I’m very unhappy about the situation. If you have elderly people in your life that are easily taken advantage of, be careful about letting them go here.Services: Brakes

Went for a replacement key that was missing when I bought my truck. Service took over twice as long as planned (over two hours). Things happen, whatever. My truck was returned with grease on my door. Showed the service tech, who showed his boss, and told me to stop by the detail shop and use the detail that was scheduled after the key service. Accidents happen, whatever.I go to get the detail service and it was not even scheduled.

I get my oil changed and tires rotated every time at this location. Hyundai has a new service location and it is really nice! The people are always friendly and my favorite person to talk to is Shirley!

On April 26, 2023, I took my 2013 Chevy Cruze to Joe Holland Service due to a transmission leak. Service rep was very polite, friendly and professional. They told me the transmission leak was the axle seal/bushing that goes into the transmission. I was also told that this could not be fixed and that I would need a new transmission. The estimated cost of repair was $5,200.Lucky for me, my brother who is located in Martinsburg WV is an ASE certified mechanic and owns his own garage, infonned me that it could be fixed without replacing the transmission. Friends recommended a transmission shop in Spencer WV. I picked up my car from the transmission shop. He replaced the axle seal/bushing, put 1 qt of transmission fluid in the vehicle and charged me $170.66. That is a huge difference from the price I was quoted at Joe Holland Chevrolet to repair my car.Today my car runs great and has no leaks!I sent all the above in a letter to the service manager. Here is the response I received...Thank you for bringing this to my attention. After researching the output shaft bushing, I found that it is not serviceable through GM parts, and there is no repair procedure for the bushing in our repair manuals. I spoke with the GM world-class technician who inspected your vehicle, and he was unaware of any aftermarket bushing available. While we strive to follow GM repair procedures as a dealership, I will look into aftermarket repair options.I am glad to hear that you where able to get your vehicle repaired at a lower cost.Service: Transmission

I had a pre-purchase inspection done and they managed to miss both of the things I had found and talked the other people a b.s. repair. And they didn't bother to put a new sticker of it...at least they put new wiper blades on it.

We’ve used the service department before and had no issues, but today we had an appointment at 10am and were told it was going to take about an hour and a half plus the time for an oil change. They told us we could come back another day?? With 5 different service members nonchalantly walking around and they even recommended us to take my car, which I bought from Joe Holland and always have used Joe Holland service department, somewhere else. Went to the Joe Holland Quick Lube and they were done in 10 minutes……guys in Joe Holland service department need an attitude check and someone to wipe the smirks off their faces when they’re the ones turning away a simple service.Service: Oil change

I am a resident of Michigan, I was driving with a truck full of belongings and my 2 dogs to Myrtle Beach, SC to meet up with my 6 month pregnant wife and our toddler for a trip. Half way through my drive after stopping to get gas in West Virginia, I started the car to see a check engine light some electrical issues and a rattling from under the carriage as I started to drive off. I pulled over and I was able to get towed to Joe Holland Chevrolet.Although on a short notice and mere hours before closing, this staff rushed through and stayed over to get my truck in top shape and repaired to send me on my way to spend the New Years with my family. They went above and beyond at helping me in need and making me and my dogs feel welcome while they got me situated. They even called me the next day to make sure I got to my destination due to what time I was getting back on the road and the length I still had left on my drive. This staff is beyond phenomenal, and I cannot send enough thanks and appreciation to Shirley, Caleb and their master technician, Michael B!!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

This dealership over charges !! I’ve never had to pay $122 for an oil change !!! I’ve never been to any Chevy dealership and the tire rotation wasn’t included in the price of the oil change. This is sad.Service: Oil change

In writing this review, I need to go back to my appointment in September 2, 2022 for an oil change. At that time they said the did an "multi-point inspection (MPI)", wherein my brakes were good. However, they didn't provide the sheet they normally do. Shortly after that, my car would shake when breaking (getting off an exit after a higher rate of speed). We assumed it was our rotors, so I called to make an appointment. On September 30, I dropped my car off to have them look at it. At this point they said my brakes were at 4mm. Would they of seen that during the MPI? The notes also say they test drove it, however the mileage was the same as when I dropped it off. They called me about 2 hours after I dropped it off, and said it needed new breaks, rotors re-surfaced and my coolant and engine fluids flushed. I asked how much that would be, and he quoted me just under $590. I told him I really couldn't afford that. He said the flushing could wait until my next oil change at 60,000 miles, so for the breaks and rotors would be $258. I agreed to that price and told him to proceed. When he called me back 3 hours later to tell me it was complete, I asked again for the total. He states $389 and change. I said that wasn't what he quoted me earlier. He agreed and said he would fix it. I arrived around 2.5 hours later to pick up my car. The guy ringing be up retrieved my paper work, and told me my total was $389.58. I told him that wasn't correct and it was suppose to $258. We walked off to go talk to his boss. After waiting 15-20 minutes, the service manager came out (I think Jason) says to me you made it by 12 minutes. Looking confused, he said "you were 12 minutes under before the new price changes took effect". He adjusted my bill, but I still end up paying almost $300. I'm not sure how ethical it is to change prices in the middle of the day, much less after you were quoted one thing and then trying to charge you over $100 more than the quote. I also don't understand how the brakes were good 28 days prior. I have always been pleased with Joe Holland, however I feel like they were attempted to defraud me, and the MPI wasn't even completed the last visit. I was told my appointment would take 2 hours. My appointment was at 8, and my car wasn't ready until 1. This recent appointment was extremely disappointing.
