“I used to use this post office location almost everyday because I had a PO box there. Bruce was always helpful, friendly and kind. I am shocked that people would give him a negative review. I always enjoyed interacting with him.”

“I’ll be honest—most post offices are places I absolutely dread going to. The staff is usually unfriendly, the service is painfully slow, and it always feels like a hassle. But ever since I moved to the Dunbar area, that couldn’t be further from the truth!

The staff at this location is SO freaking friendly and always incredibly helpful with anything mail-related. Whether I need assistance with a package, a question about shipping, or just a quick drop-off, they make the process smooth and stress-free. I’ve never had a single lost package with this location, and every package I’ve sent or received has arrived on time.

Beyond that, the location itself is great—easy in and out, ample parking, and a well-organized setup that keeps things moving efficiently. The level of service here is truly top-notch, and I actually don’t mind stopping by when I need to!

Huge shoutout to the team at the Dunbar Post Office for making what’s usually a dreaded errand something easy and even pleasant. Highly recommend this location!”

“I never have a negative experience at this location. Sometimes it may seem slow, but that's most usually because a customer is unprepared and/or needs more assistance than most. Can't blame the clerks for that. Even with the worst they always seem to be very accommodating and without a bad attitude. Plus they have the self scanner which is super convenient.”

“The guy behind the counter was very helpful and patient with me. I made a mistake with an money order. And he fish out the letter for me to fix it. I didn't remember his name but he was fantastic and I felt really bad to bother after closing hours. Thank you guys so much for the trouble!”

“For Truckers : When you get to the facility, don’t wait at the entrance even if you see a calling machine or system there (it doesn’t work). Just go inside and park by the curb on right side and someone would come to ask for your paperwork. If they don’t, then there is a door right in the middle of the loading docks you can go to.They unload very fast.”

“I received a package I had been waiting for. It was suppose to have 3 small boxes in it. It was put in my mailbox halfway open. Each box usually has there parts. Of the two boxes, one had all parts. And one was missing one of its parts! I am very unhappy with this. Don’t know if it happened before it reached Saint Albans branch or after. But package was opened and was a wonder I received any of it.”

“The Post Office staff has always been friendly and accommodating. I DO NOT agree with the post office box area being LOCKED and only open during business hours. I have spoken to the City Police, County Police and City Officials and there have been no reports of vagrancy or distraction of property. So what's the reason?”

“At around 10-10:30am March 28th 2025, a 21 year old female suffered a heart attack in the parking lot of the crosslanes post office. That female was me, my family trying their best to help, then someone comes out of the postal building. That someone was a united States postal worker by the name of Danny. He tried his best to monitor and help stabilize me untill paramedics got to me. Something that would seem so small would turn into something worth more than all the gold in the world. Because of Danny, after a heartattack, he saved me. He saved my family. I got a good bit of damage to my heart as a result of the episode. However after I was released, I made it a point to stop and thank him. He had been wondering about me all day, as I explained what happened he started to cry at the fact I made it. Without him my family would have lost their family member. I will forever be grateful for this man”
