Not located at the airport (CRW) this added $100 in UBER costs to get from the airport to the rental, gas tank was not full, tires only had 1/16" usable tread, staff was very nice

I will never do anything with Hertz again. Their Bankruptcy cost me 10's of thousands of my 401k savings. For Hertz to be back in business is grand theft. I lost 60K in retirement money. That money was from us.stolen

Had a car reserved for over a week, at south Charleston location, to be picked up at 8am for business travel. When arrived no one was at store, worker sat in his car until 8:15 then preceded to tell me my car was being cleaned. I’m now late for my business travel. ALWAYS USE ENTERPRISE

1 way rental from Charleston to Cleveland. Rented car through the app. When we picked up vehicle it had 1/4 tank of gas and the cashier and guy who drove up our vehcile (same person) clarified that with us..Unfortunately I didnt check 6 foot long paper receipt and it read that the tank was full, 8/8, and silly us returned the same as we received. Was charged over $10 a gallon to fill up the tank on a 7 passenger SUV. Over $140. Immediately was told that I had to call this shop to get refund. I did twice and talked to the guy that rang us and he orally recalled the tank was at 1/4 and he'd issue refund. Two weeks went by and called again except a different guy, was told refund would be issued now twice. 40 days later no refund. Unable to dispute through credit service because the receipt. Regardless of picture or receipt evidence of gas fill up immediately after picking up rental. Just check your receipts carefully when getting a rental here and don't trust they know what they're doing.

Terrible customer service, the manager yelled and tried to intimidate when customer asked for copy of agreement. Paperwork was falsified, incorrect names & dob put into system. SC police had to be called to location because manager refused to give a copy of signed agreement.

Rented a car to me even though they knew I was 20 and even told them and reminded them as I was signing, that I was indeed 20 years old. Went in and was firm that I needed the rental agreement and was on the phone with my mom just in case I had to relay information. Asked the manger his name, no response. Asked what time he had to work the next day so my mom could come in and get the paper if needed because I wasn’t even supposed to have the car in the first place. He got angry at me and started arguing with me and yelling at me. Keep in mind this man is around 40 years old yelling at a 20 year old woman trying to get a piece of paper. Long story short, called the cops and they got the paper for me after an hour and 20 minutes. Oh and the manager wouldn’t give the police officer his name either. They were definitely doing something with the papers.

I really didn’t want to use Hertz because of a previous negative experience but I was out of town and that was the only company available. I returned my rental car to this location and handed my keys over to a rep. I’ve since gotten a couple calls stating I haven’t returned the car and will be overcharged. It’s just laziness because it’s obvious whoever closed me out didn’t actually do it.

Was able to get a car short notice. Was upgraded at no additional fee. Also was able to extend the rental easily online. Picking up and returning was quick and easy. Have rented from for a long time and we will continue.
