Only 3 Stars because the hours are SO INCONVENIENT for people that work... I mean come on you can't open at 8 or if not atleast be open 9 to 6? I can't ever make it there because I can't miss work time. This needs fixed.

My husbands Telco union was assumed by Star credit union. When this happened our two auto loans taken over. We had both auto loans for over a year and had set up auto payment when they were with the Telco credit union. When the merger happen I call to see if I needed to do anything to keep the auto payments. The bank The bank representative could not tell me whether or not the autodraft would merge by itself or if I need to reset it. So I spent an hour on the phone with my bank getting the old one stopped and set up a new auto payment with them. At that time star could not tell me when the new auto payments would start to allow me to make a payment if needed. Their suggestion was to wait and see if the auto payment happen. Which would make my payment late. I am almost 45 years old and have never been late on a payment. So this was not a good option in my opinion. So I opted to make a payment and I If the auto payment where though I would just be paid ahead. Thinking everything was taken care of. However I was wrong as the payment amount was wrong so my payment was shorted by 8 dollars and some change. Keep in mind I called 3 day before the auto payment was set to withdraw to confirm everything was good. And was told everything was good. While I will take blame that the amount was filled in incorrectly by me I asked the bank Representative to confirm everything was good and they did not notice the payment amount was short.
After discovering the payment error and and correcting the issue. I thought I was all set. Nope. Because the bank representative misread the routing number so the auto payment did not go through.
Another trip to the branch and completing a third set of paperwork for autodraft. Maybe this time it will be set up correctly but I doubt it
We would refinance with another bank but our interest rate is really low compared to today's rate. So we are their mercy.
Would not recommend doing any kind of business with start unless you enjoy hassle.

Another day of opening at 9am to only ignore the customers standing outside of the locked door. Smh. If your hours say you open at 9, unlocked the door for your customers!!

The St Albans branch has definitely gone down hill. The employees are rude and make their customers stand outside waiting AFTER their posted opening hours. When prompted to answer the door, they act like it is the biggest inconvenience. I have no clue how this branch is still open. Customer service does not seem to be a priority here.

Told me they couldn't help me because I supposedly didn't have a credit score, yet I do and was able to get loans in the past at other institutions and paid them off.

Opened a new joint account on 6/28.Waited 2+ weeks for online access.Currently 8/8 and still no debit cards sent to the two account holders.

The only reason I give them 4 Stars is for Yvonne. She is the best! If it wasn’t for her helpfulness and ability to relate to people, I would of left along time ago.
