Recently purchased 2000 Autumn Blend landscape blocks to re-do the foundation wall around our house. They are packaged 72 blocks to a forklift pallet. The first four loads were of good quality. But as new loads arrived we noticed what appears to be mortar mix residue on the face and edges of the blocks, and debris/dirt inside the pallet bundle. We cleaned over two hundred blocks with our pressure washer before loading up the remainder and driving the 70 miles to do a store return. This cleaning chore took us a whole day to do.So here we are still needing another 2000-2500 blocks to finish our job and the stock at our local store is not clean and unacceptable. We called corporate and they were unable to help. Their excuse was, "it's the end of season and there are a lot of returns in the inventory". Also "when spring arrives new stuff should be arriving from the factory".So we sit here before Christmas needing material to complete our walls and Minards seems unconcerned, or the least bit sensitive to our need or our building schedule.

WOW! Bottom line is that while I was about to type in that it is the most unique hardware or home improvement store I have ever been in, it hit me that that description is not really accurate. It is so much more than that with everything this business carries in a HUGE building.My wife's description when mentioning it to friends and relatives is "where else can you go to buy a sheet of plywood and a gallon of milk in one stop!" It has a grocery section, the largest collection of lights and electrical supplies I have seen anywhere else, tools, nuts, bolts, construction supplies, appliances, pet toys & food, furniture, holiday decorations, and so much more. We didn't even have time to walk through the whole store that day.We found this store by chance making a 160+ mile round trip to go to the West Virginia Bass Pro Shop, and now planning extra time to hit both and taking our truck instead of the car will make that long drive even more worth the drive from Pennsylvania!Rumor has it we are getting one in Westmoreland County, PA... ca 't wait. Unlike our Lowes and Home Depot stores, this company actually seems to staff their stores well staffed and has the checkouts with friendly associates rather than expecting customers to scan themselves out. WOW!

Never had an issue with this place up until I purchased a garage from there. Took over a month longer than they said it would be in. Ok not too big of a deal. Took a day off work for it to be delivered and it never showed up after calling multiple times guys said it was getting loaded and leaving shortly, never showed up. Finally got the garage the following day with many items damaged. They did give me a discount on the damaged items or offered to replace but it would have been another month of waiting for a few items. The rebate I received back was only about 6% and not 11% like advertised. 0/10 . No one that manages this store cares a really awful way to manage a company .

I visited this store for the first time last week and I can say I am absolutely in love with it. They have such a massive selection and very competitive prices. The workers are so friendly and helpful and it seems no matter where you turn they are not far to offer their assistance. The Lighting Display which is my absolute favorite is second to none! They have such gorgeous chandeliers and light fixtures and I cannot wait until I'm ready to purchase new ones. They even have some groceries and household goods to complete your trip. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone in need of home Improvement items.

Unbelievable selection. Clean. Good service from multiple associates.Negative: Couldn't pay for lumber selection without taking it all the way to the front of the store then rolling it back for pickup in warehouse area, OR getting a ticket written up in the lumber section and walking all the way to the registers at the front of the store. There needs to be a register at the lumber/warehouse area to pay right there.That said, it's a great store with lots of stock and a huge selection of most anything you'd need building-wise.

The store is clean and well stocked, but customer service is very, very poor! We wanted to make $1000 purchase and waited over half an hour for someone to come help us. No one ever did after asking at least four different employees for assistance.

Great Selection of Everything!!Good prices, they truly seem to cover all you need for your home or farm. The staff is extremely helpful and they seem to care that you get what you want and need. I haven't been there and not found what I wanted in 30 trips, Amazing!!I wish we had one in the LaVale MD area.

I called in to special order a product for delivery to the store. Online it says to visit the store to special order. They looked it up and said I could special order it and have it delivered to the store so I asked if I could pay over the phone. The associated told me that they could not take payment over the phone and that I had to come in to the store to order. I told him I lived over an hour from the store and would really like to pay for the item over the phone to save a trip. I was frustrated because literally any other store you can call in and pay over the phone. So I drive over an hour to the store just to have them tell me its out of stock now and they can't order it. I will never shop at Menards again. What a joke.

Ordered furniture online. Got confirmation was able to pick up through email. Got to store and order wasn’t ready. So after missing work to come down and get it I told them they can ship to the house since they didn’t have the order they tried to make me pay for the delivery now. Then I cancel order and ask for refund and they try to say there’s a 25% restock fee. What were they restocking the product didn’t arrive like they said. This is after sitting outside waiting to load it for 2 hours. Will not be purchasing anything from them again. Chandler and Hayden in the back have zero customer service and were not helpful in the situation just stood around talking with coworkers. No such thing as good customer service anymore.

Horrible customer service. My son ordered materials for a garage. Truck delivered some but not all. Didn’t provide an itemized invoice and said they couldn’t. Delivered second part and left blocks and concrete mix he never ordered. Told him they’d order roof trusses, but now can’t deliver them. He canceled order for them and has been waiting a month and still no refund. The garage kit was supposed to come with blueprints but they now say they can’t provide them and SOLD him a $5 how to book instead. He is not able to order trusses anywhere else until his money is refunded which has already taken a month and nobody seems to know what the problem is. Very poor customer service. It’s a shame. I’d like to see the business succeed but they won’t if this this is how they run the place.

This place blows Lowe’s and Home Depot out of the water! Way bigger selection of everything, literally everything! And also on top of their very competitive pricing, you get an 11% mail in rebate on everything in the form of store credits! Always my first choice for building supplies etc.!

Went inside with a list of things I needed. A gentleman, Josh, helped me find everything and made recommendations based on my needs. He was very helpful. The cashier also did a great job. It's very nice to have help with things you may not be too familiar with. Thank you!

This store is huge and has massive amounts of inventory. If it was not for the totally hokey rebate program that forces you to wait something like 6 weeks or more to get an 11% rebate, I would shop there all the time.Instead, I now go to Home Depot primarily in Clarksburg, or to any of the Lowe's hardware as a second choice.Menards is the distant third choice when no one else has it and I give up on the refund offer because it is total bogus nonsense.If you could find a way to do this kind of refund quicker, electronically, and make it simple so that we don't have to mail stuff in, that would really help cement your position. Until then, you're just going to get one star and that's all you can do.

Menards panders to their guests and lies about their policies and then expects delivery companies to clean up the messes of their employees. I purchased tile and paid for delivery. I specifically told them I didn’t have a garage and that I needed in-home delivery. They said ‘no problem’, quoted me a reasonable price, and all was well. When the delivery driver arrived, he was very apologetic but said that’s not what he was hired to do- driveway/garage delivery only. I called Menard’s, and they said not only was there not even an option for in-home delivery even with a surcharge, but also no matter what alternate choice I made, they would charge me for today’s delivery. All of this means that in my initial call two weeks ago, the sales rep lied to me when he said in-home delivery was possible and no problem. In an attempt to be level-headed, I even asked if they could do driveway delivery at a later date and waive the second delivery fee since today’s problem was a result of a customer service problem on their end. Nope- they could do nothing to help me. Even if I opted to return the product, I would still be charged the delivery fee for a type of delivery I didn’t authorize.In addition, I asked for the name of the person I was speaking to in the pick up and delivery department three separate times, and every time he ignored me. The final time I asked for his name, he actually hung up on me. He said he spoke to the store manager on multiple accounts over the course of the call, and there was nothing the store would do to help at all. They wouldn’t even make simple suggestions or even answer questions like “how long can the tile reasonably sit in the elements before I have a problem?”This will be my first and only time purchasing from Menard’s, and I’ll make sure everyone else I know takes their business to Lowe’s. Lowe’s isn’t perfect by any means but usually their customer service has the decency to try and repair damage from any mistakes made. Menard’s did nothing.Now I have 600 sq ft of tile sitting on a palette outside in the rain for a week until the actual tile job begins in my house.To be fair, the delivery driver was very very nice and did his best to make the situation less awful.
