She is a crook and looks for ways to pad the already ridiculous bill. Cat has normal white blood cell counts and she wants to test for pancreatitis. Also wants to give her antibiotics. Did I mention the cat had normal white blood cells counts? Normal WBC counts, so why antibiotics? She’s a crook, go ANYWHERE else if at all possible

best vet ive been to and ive been to many, including columbus. I have a pet bunny, so it’s hard to find good vets or even vets that take rabbits. She was super helpful, caring, and actually knew what was going on (other vets ive been to dont even know that rabbits cant vomit.) No joke, I had a vet in hopedale diagnose my rabbit with respiratory illness after reading a textbook in front of me and guessing. I went here during emergency hours but I will be continuing to go to this vet if and when my rabbit recovers.

So yesterday I called here to see if they could see my cat last-night. Their first 2 questions were 1 how much money do you want to put into this cat? 2 do you want to put him down? And then they explained it's $185 to walk in the door and then $585 for x-rays that can't be read until morning and then the cost of the euthanasia. Instead of that I took my cat to Glendale Animal Hospital and my God I'm glad I didn't take my cat to this kill shelter. My cat is expected to make a full recovery and I paid LESS then Animal Urgent Care wanted to Kill a cat they had not even laid eyes on. PLEASE AVPID AT ALL COSTS¡ if you need a 24 hrs vet go to Washington, PA

I called urgent care and told them the problem with my cat. The first 2 questions they ask. How much money are you wanting to put into this cat? 2nd question do you want to put him down? Uhmm NO MAM I don't want to put down a cat thag is eating drinking meowing walking jumping and is alert. Who would? And what do I want to put in my animal? Everything I possibly can. What kind of vet asks those questions before even seeing the cat

Very empathetic and nice professionals. Came out to the parking lot and checked on our Lab and gave us advice on what to do with him for a wound on his paw. They could have easily made us wait for an hour and charged us for an office visit, but they didn't. Good folks!!!!!

I spoke to a woman on the phone tonight about our very ill dog. She told me that there would be a several hour wait and that their doctor was in emergency surgery. I asked if I should come right away or if I could wait a few hours, since she mentioned that it would be at least a three or four hour wait. She said that we needed to be there before they finished with the patients before us because if there was no one else to see for the night, then they would close. We took 30 minutes to prepare a bag and a bed for our dog to be comfortable to sit in the car for 3 to 4. And when we called to confirm that they were still open and able to see us, the same woman who we talked to before very condescendingly told us that we had misunderstood her, and that we had to be there by 10PM. And that “she wished us this best!” Even though, when I originally called, the first thing I said was that we would not be able to make it even if we left right away by 10 PM. She still told us they could see us. This is awful. I don’t know your name, but shame on you. You’re bad at your job. And you’re not a good person.

Very poor communication at this care center. I’m not upset about waiting 5 hours. I’m upset that I waited 5 hours without being told or updated that my “wait time” was unreasonable. I expected to wait to some degree, however, 5 hours without communication feels disrespectful. I believe the managers and veterinarian should work together to manage time better.

I highly recommend Dr. Shondrick and her staff! My 15 year old dog got excellent care. Plus, they gave me a lot of helpful information to deal with his illness. They were kind, compassionate, listened to all my questions, and greatly helped me to deal with his sickness. Thank you so much!

It's hard to imagine the pressure vets, techs, and support staff are under on a daily basis. The staff at Animal Urgent Care Center have always treated my pets with care and kindness. Situations can be terribly tragic and high-stress, and I hope that everyone considers that and treats these folks with the kindness and respect that they deserve, even when prices are higher than expected or prognoses are poor. They are doing all they can.

Great service, very nice Doctor and staff. For those complaining about them being rude, go sit in the waiting room for a few minutes, you will see that they are not rude but just super busy trying to take care of all the poor animals. Also, why waste somebody's time coming in if they don't have the money for treatment, I appreciated having an idea what I was going to owe up front!

I am so impressed with the care and commitment Dr. Shondrick and her staff have for sick animals, and their human families. They never turn you away even when you're regular vet will. Dr. Shondick and her staff are intelligent, compassionate, understanding, and committed. I am happy to be a client, and would fervently recommend this practice for both routine and emergency care of your beloved pet/family member.

Was told I needed to get to the facility because it was emergency situation. They told me to come in right away and my dog would be seen. Sat in the lobby waiting for two hours. Still not seen. Walk ins were seen immediately while my boy waited. Nobody spoke to us, nobody updated us. After 2 hours, was told doctor was leaving soon so I may not get seen. So I drove 45 minutes, waited over 2 hours, and got no treatment.EDIT:4 hours. Finally get into a room to see a vet. Waited in that room 68 minutes. Saw nobody. Finally someone comes in, sticks their finger in my dog's butt, looks at his teeth...and leaves. Another 30 minutes so far and nothing.

We showed up 3 minutes before they closed with our pet rat that needed euthanized. They were all so wonderful to us! I honestly wondered how we would be treated due to having a less popular pet. They treated us as though we were losing the family golden retriever! Thank you for making us feel comfortable and understood.
