Kind of an eclectic place, in a good way. I'm totally baffled by the choice of location, but hey it is central to downtown and an easy off/on from the highway. In any event, we had our choice of six bespoke sandwiches, a quiche or soup de jour. Sandwiches served on fresh toothsome baguettes, with a side of olives and a mini biscotti cookie. Super high quality ingredients on the sandwiches. Nice selection of top end bottles of olive oil and Italian jarred specialty items for purchase. We were passing through so I didn't have time to browse the wine shop. Order your food at the back counter.

The lady was rude in the back at first, and than we started to ask for more than what she probably thought and spent over 250$ at this place and than she was nice. Meats && Cheese are midocure but definitely not head over heels for it. But the deserts were decadent and so good, if anything try their fresh deserts.

Perfect little gem! This place is beautiful inside and out and has SO much to offer. Wines, cheeses, breads, olive oils, imported food gifts…Everything is so unique and high quality. Don’t skip the fresh macarons-they are divine. Can’t wait to come back!

We drove over an hour just to eat. We tried two of the sandwiches on French baguettes and 3 different pastries. Everything was delicious. We purchased some meat and cheese from the deli and house made sausage. We didn't get a chance to look at or sample wines but will do so on a future visit.

Stopped while in town and was amazed at this absolutely beautiful shoppe. This historic mansion was gorgeous. Took home some wine and picked up a couple pepperoni croissant rolls for lunch by the river.

First visit, delicious sandwiches, cappuccino, and pastries. Met owner and ate on the beautiful landing with 3 stained glass windows. So much more to explore with the wines, pastas, and other food items. But I can't stop thinking about having lunch there again!

Well 2 stars for having some good cheese selection and porchetta on the menu. I can honestly say I've never been treated so rudely as the woman working in the cafe. From the moment we walked in everything she said was rude. We were really hungry and traveling through so we didn't take the time to find other food. It's a tiny offering of ingredients on half a baguette for $12-$15 a sandwich. There was no condiments like olive oil to give the sandwich's depth and just a sprinkle of whatever was included on the sandwich. My feedback would be to actually put the ingredients you offer on the sandwich. The pastries were dry lacquered frozen items from their distributor. They don't offer a cheese or salumi plate despite having tons of cheese/salumi sitting there. I've eaten at a ton Of gourmet markets and especially Italian markets throughout the US and Europe. Their selection was terrible. This could be a cool place for somewhere like Wheeling but overall it's a scam and the rude staff really is terrible. Every question we asked her was No.

The worker knew the wines, which helped. And we had 3 tasters with lunch. I got an assortment of cheeses and loved them! We will go back.

Will not be returning to this location due to being treated very poorly by the owner. I understand my not even two year old probably shouldn't have been standing on the table, but I’m so used used to him doing weird stuff I didn’t even notice. Until the owner flashed a fake smile back at me and shortly stormed over with a sopping wet rag, slapped it on the table directly where my toddler was standing (was, I removed him promptly after the fake smile with fiery eyes). He aggressively cleaned the table and was standing so close to me I actually felt like my personal space was very invaded. He swiped me with the rag in his aggravated attempt to prove to me how sickening it was that a literal baby was standing on his table. Oh! And let’s not forget the first time I ever came here and was assured that there was no eggs in the croissants, second time my friend double checked and there was definitely eggs in them! Guess I ate eggs! ( I abstain for religious purposes) so that was fantastic! Still gave this place a chance even after that non sense. Needless to say, I can make my own baguettes. Thank you! :)

Very friendly and helpful staff. Sandwiches with a wine flight for lunch. Both were excellent. Would have loved to open a bottle there an sit and sip for a while but it's not something that is available. Ordered some Easter treats! Can't wait to go back!

The building is beautiful and filled with wonderful wines and in the back is where you can find tasty lunch options including sandwiches made with Italian meats, cheeses and freshly made bread, specialty pizzas and a delightful assortment of deserts and sweet treats. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming as well! A new favorite when I visit Wheeling!

French pastry is the draw for me. Authenticity is the key here right down to the chef. My wife loves the wine selection. Sandwiches, pizza, available at lunch They have fresh pasta and breads daily as well. Comprehensive and super high quality cheese and deli meat counter will turn the volume up on your charcuterie boards. Next level stuff here.
