This was the cutest little bookstore! The owner was SO friendly and welcoming. He had a great variety of used books. 10/10 would recommend!!

My daughter and I just love a good used book store. The first time we visited, they were just about to close, but the owner, Chuck, invited us in anyway. We managed to get quite the haul in just a few minutes. We will definitely stop by the next time we are in Wheeling.

VIGILANT BOOKS WAS CLOSED FOR 18 MONTHS. DUE TO COVID-19 & REOPENED JUNE, 2021 - HOORAY!
Vigilant Books is a small, local bookshop in a century old building with metal ceiling, bamboo floors and a few thousand books in between. The books cover many subjects with particular strengths in children's book, art, home design, gardening, military history, religion, astronomy and space. We have an excellent selection of local history and books by local authors.
