Was hung up on when notifying the campground of a need to cancel due to medical reasons. Attempted to inquire about transferring our spot to another party as they do not provide refunds and was told that isn’t an option even though I planned to get the spot filled for their benefit and my own financially. They offered to move the dates yet this year but with only a couple weeks left that was not possible. Disappointing.

This WAS. A great place to camp, until the cliques made their presence. Unless you're connected to the office I would avoid this place. They'll just kick you out because they don't like you.

Right by the railroad tracks, very loud. We were supposed to have a fire pit at our cabin and we didn't. The bar and restaurant only open Monday during week. Barely any places to fish at the campground due to all there house boats. Not very fun at all.

this place sucks. what they call a large cabin is absolutely tiny. The showers are clogged with hair in the women's bathroom. and in the men's the water changes from hot to clod constantly. This place is pretty dirty. and I don't know what happened to Midwest nice at this place but it's gone. service takes forever, they're expensive, and rude. They will also kick u out over the smallest of things that can easily be solve. the new owners actually suck. I recommend spending your money elsewhere. For real don't stay here.

I'll start with the good things...its a beautiful spot and the 3 families we went with had the far corner spot that had good space for our combined 8 children and 3 dogs. The bar was clutch during a rain storm, food was fine, service was really good. Being right on the river allowed for us to take the kids fishing a handful of times and was beautiful...now the not so good...I'm shocked to not read other reviews mentioning how there is a busy train track right next to the campground and how each time a train rolls through, it blasts the horn extremely loud. Including maybe 20 trains passing through in the middle of the night waking up all of us repeatedly. The bathrooms were very far away from our camping spot and required us to rent a golf cart, which the kids had fun with, but still odd there weren't any closer bathrooms particularly for the ladies.Mosquitos were terrible but not totally shocked about that as we were right next to the water and its mostly stagnant water which I'm sure the mosquitos absolutely love.Lastly, some of the seasonal/permanent campers were nice and some seemed annoyed by our presence. A random lady thought it was funny to jump around the corner and scare the kids and just walk away laughing. I'm all for having some drinks (she was intoxicated) but that was weird as hell. We won't be coming back and I suspect the permanent campers are just fine with that.Playground: Fine, pretty small and nothing special.Restrooms: Way far away from most of the campground and only a couple stalls. Need more and more spaced out.

Good campground except for the constant trains that’s go by the place. Not ideal for tent camping. Better if you have a camper with some sound proofing. Like that it had golf carts for rent and a bar and dock slips for boats. Good tree cover

Great River Harbor is a really nice family owned campground. To be clear: this is not like a state park camping area as most of the sites are seasonal RV sites, but there are a handful of designated overnight spots. The bar and grill are definitely a fun time with live music frequently on the summer weekends...also very kid friendly. The owners Eric and Nikki treat their guests very well and make you feel at home. By far the best way to truly experience the natural beauty of the area is by boat and they do have boat rentals (well worth it!). The river is gorgeous and the bluff region of the area is one of the most beautiful and underrated spots in the Midwest imo. The fishing and bird watching is outstanding. Fun N the Sun Houseboats runs business out of Great River Harbor and that's definitely on my bucket list. Alma and Buffalo City are within a short drive (or float) and have some good local restaurants (try the hub cap sized cinnamon rolls at Pier 4 Cafe) and site seeing. I highly recommend checking out Great River Harbor for a seasonal or just a fun weekend away.

Good quite campground with water for fishing and boating ? the spots are mostly seasonal sites but the spots for small trips are mostly level. The only complaint is the septic dump is not easy to use. But if you stay at this campground I would recommend going to silver moon and paying the $8 to dump

Limited spots to camp but if you can, highly recommend. Great atmosphere and everyone is super friendly. The restaurant has great food with a full bar and a nice little gift shop with custom items you won't find anywhere else. The showers are clean and there is a nice small playground for kids. Bring your fishing poles to try your luck at several open spots along the river.Golf carts, house boats and pontoons can also be rented.

Cool little spot in a beautiful area along the bluffs.. Fair prices for slips and storage of your houseboats. Check out all the local little bars and diners, also a great place to ride your motorcycle during the two warm months in wisconsin lol

Do not camp here! This place is not a campground for rent campers… the website is highly misleading it’s more of a trailer park. We were given a small plot of grass in between three trailers/RVs. One of our neighbors had a confederate flag flying outside of his home. We had no fire pit and if it wasn’t for the kind neighbors for letting us borrow theirs we would’ve been out of luck. We left the next day and after all of the misleading we were not given a refund for the second night, even though we weren’t going to stay there. DO NOT camp here. We went up to Stockholm campground and it’s 1000% better.
