I am a big AAA fan and long time member. I love the discounts and member benefits. After receiving weekly email ads to try their auto insurance I decided I would give them a try since I am buying a new car. I called the Appleton office and a woman called me back. She refused to quote me a rate on a car unless I bundled everything (I currently have everything with state farm) The woman was rather unpleasant and finally I just had to ask her "so you cannot give a quote for a single car?" She replied no and I hung up. Guess I'm sticking with State Farm - if the service is that horrible just signing up , how bad will it be if I have a claim. Very disappointed with the Appleton office!! Maybe another office will have better service.

I waited 4 hours for AAA to get a tow truck here to " help me " stranded 4 hours in Wisconsin Winter on December 28th. 4 hours! TERRIBLE AAA SERVICE. REALLY HAS WENT DOWN HILL. ?

I picked up AAA last year - it wld include myself, husband and daughter on plan as we are all in the same household. The rate I paid was 141.50 . Never was I told at the time I signed up that I was getting a discount of any kind-let alone for one driver. Noticed that my acct was now charged 204.00 . I called and was told by lady that it's bc I got the discount of 1 driver first year. Never was I told this at the time. So it went up 62.50 or 63.00 .. that is a big jump..this is just wrong. Now it was suggested well we can put you on a lower plan... I wld say if you can get coverage thru your auto insurance do it. this is terrible- like they threw the line in..with the bait and then jacked it up that much in one year. Instead of keeping their customers if the rates increased slightly ..but this is a big increase...Not happy and personally feel this is really wrong.. so ck around first..and ask questions bc this was never told to me upon signing up.Asked to speak to mgr woman told me noone avail but that she wld forward and I will get a call back- we will see still waiting- if not I will post that too.

Disappointed. I now have to call a special number for travel to Hawaii or any foreign country. I can't get assistance face-to-face in Appleton any more like I used to. I'm beginning to question the usefulness of my AAA membership.
