Steven Schmitz provided an exceptional experience when assisting my wife with opening an account. Despite us arriving 30 minutes late, he warmly welcomed us and still made time in his schedule without hesitation. His professionalism, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond left a lasting impression. Because of Steven, we will confidently refer our friends and family to Associated Bank, knowing they will be in excellent hands.

Melissa Cobb is a manager any business would be proud to have at their company. You should promote her to area manager so she can teach other managers how to lead.

My mother in law passed away. My wife has given them her death certificate multiple times. They refuse to give her control mortgage. The continue to send her certified letters. They have zero compassion. They have no idea what they are doing.

It has been almost two months, due to no error of my own, I am unable to receive online banking. Sent back and forth between branch and online/IT. Branch manager felt comfortable letting me know I am fine without the service EVERYONE ELSE HAS. OK, I will leave the account open, as a secondary fallback at best, I am not comfortable leaving more than a little of my money with Associated Bank at this point. Ok folks, really pretty nice people but, terrible service. One stars is too many for the service I have received. Two months??? Get it together Associated.

Don't bother scheduling an appointment as you will not get serviced at that time. I was "advised" to schedule online through their website, which I did. This way I am guaranteed help over "walk-in". The first time I get a text saying it was cancelled, but was never contacted as to why. I schedule another appointment, this time with a teller, but waited over 20 mins past my appointment time in the lobby. Was never helped by a banker. The teller will end up emailing answers. Let's see if I ever get an email.

I worked here for a hot second and left pretty much immediately once I found out they don't give a crap about fraud protection, they will do nothing for you and will do next to nothing to prevent it even though you have to go through about 10 courses dedicated to fraud alone. They do not care so stay away.

Terrible company. All they care about is making money off of their members. Not willing to work with you and won’t notify you if you have overdraft fees. Well actually they do, by snail mail, 2 weeks after the first overdraft, during Christmas time. 1 payment from the wrong account cost over $300 in fees. Closing all accounts with them and moving to a credit union.

This is mixed review of the Richmond St. location since some things are good and some bad: 1) Don't ever use their merchant processor for credit cards, it is scam! They lock you in for 3 years, making you rent their equipment or pay outrageous penalties and charge very high rates to process credit and debit cards. 2) The staff is always very friendly and knows me by name. 3) There was an issue with their ATM machine refusing to read 1/2 the checks I deposited and I brought it to the attention but took over 2 months to correct. The staff claimed it was a third party that runs the machine, but since it has their name on the machine, I feel they should have forced to get it fixed faster. It is fixed now and it currently has more features than before! 4) The night deposit was lacking envelopes for over 2 months, again brought to attention and was told "the envelopes were somewhere in the bank but we haven't found them". I asked them to put any envelopes out until they found the regular ones but they said they had to be the special ones. However if I used my own ones, they never commented about using the wrong ones. The envelope issue was also at the south Odeida location also. The envelopes are available and situation reconciled. 5) I saw another review regarding fees charged by the bank and I almost never have fees charged. I deposit via ATM, Bank teller/drive through and direct deposit paycheck and I pay bills electronically through their website access for personal accounts and transfer from one account to the other for my business.

My brother passed away last fall, and he had accounts at Associated Bank. First I called Corporate to liquidate the accounts, and they had me fax in documents. I never heard anything back. I called again, and they had me fax documents to a different number. I never heard anything back. I called a local branch, and faxed documents to them. Never heard anything back. I called them again, and was told they needed document XYZ. But they never contacted me to tell me that! I sent them document XYZ. Never heard anything back. Called them again, and was told they needed document ABC. Again, I was never contacted. Finally today, I received an email that a check has been mailed, almost 4 months after my initial contact with them. I am so glad I will never have to deal with any of these people again.

I have never had a Bank with more fees! $11 a month for checking, and, get this, $5 a month to have a SAVINGS account! Yes, they really charge you to loan them your money. Last year, they changed their computer system, which crashed for days, leaving us unable to access our accounts. Today, their system is down again. I'm glad I don't need to make a deposit to cover something, because you can't even make a deposit at the bank in person. Avoid Banks in general, especially Associated Bank. Our family will save $27 a month by going to a credit union.
