Jerry and the crew at Ballard Storage run a great operation and it shows! The cleanest and best maintained storage units around. You can count on a well lit facility with security cameras, fully paved, that’s easy to enter/exit…while being competitive with their prices!

In February of 2019 my father passed away and we had to move my mother into assisted living and sell their home. This was an incredibly hard time for our family. We needed decent storage quickly and my sister contacted Jerry. She remarked how friendly and helpful he was compared to other places she'd called. We needed two larger units near each other. They were able to accommodate our request, had a good price and made things quick and easy to rent. Monthly payments were easy online during the 2.5 years we rented there. There was easy access, and the area was well lit. I would highly recommend them to family and friends and will use them again should I ever need store something!

We moved to Appleton in 2019 and they were very helpful. The unit was clean and the facility seems to be well maintained. Highly recommended.

During my relocation to the Appleton area this past summer, I found Stephanie at Ballard Storage very helpful in finding a suitable space that met my storage requirements. And since I was relocating from some distance away, the online process was both smooth and efficient. The storage facilities are secure and well maintained. My experience with Ballard Storage has been very positive, and would recommend them to others who may be seeking storage options in the area.

Awesome experience! It was our first time using a storage and they made the process very easy. The area was easy to get to. It was clean and secure. The favorite thing for us was how responsive they were with our questions. I would definitely go back if I need to one day!The only suggestion for the company is to have automatic payments. I kept forgetting my payments was charged late fees.

This location has brand new units. It is blacktopped, which is very nice! There are cameras installed around the property. The units are a bit more expensive than some of their competitors', but you truly get what you pay for: We stopped to see a competitor's lower priced storage facility, and almost bottomed out our vehicle on their treacherous driveway. Plus, their units were much older, and the lot was gravel, with no security cameras. We passed on that.The owners at Ballard Storage are extremely nice, and easy to get ahold of. They offer the kind of service you'd expect from a local, family owned business.

Had a unit for our travel trailer for 9 months. It was exceptionally clean , in like-new condition and rodent-free. Very secure area. Never had a problem. Jerry is very easy to work with.

The staff was great to work with. Rapid response to any question or need. Upgraded my unit when one came available. I had one of the large storage bays and kept my 24' boat out of the elements. Well kept, clean storage units.

Overall we were very happy with our rental experience. There was one hiccup early on however. We took advantage of the coupon they offer on their website where you pay for 3 months in advance and receive one free but after the 3 months we found that we had been locked out of our unit. When I called them and reminded them about not getting our 1 month free they did agree with their mistake and took the lock back off. I was still frustrated at not being able to get into our unit for a day though while I waited for them to get someone out there to remove the lock. After that things went very smooth though. They installed asphalt around the units and it is relatively easy to get in and out even with a trailer. The unit was clean when we first opened the rental and we received our security deposit in a timely manner after we closed the rental. Jerry and his staff were very pleasant to us at all times. As long as they remember to honor coupons they offer on their website I would definitely recommend Ballard Storage to others.

The business needs to get a better system for sending customers invoices. The system they use (storEDGE) sent multiple invoices in error. The invoices were threatening with interest and included overlock placement fees on my rental unit. I gave Kim my 30 day notice and it was never relayed to the owner. After multiple issues I filed a complaint with the BBB. My complaint was just closed so it should be listed in the next 5-7 days. Having been a tenant of Northeast Storage in Appleton for 11 years I have never had one issue.

RENTER BEWARE!!! I have never had to rent a storage unit before so this was very new to me. I was told that in order to get my security deposit back, I would have to give a 30 day notice. I moved out of my unit on November 13. Before I moved out, I contacted them to let them know I was giving my 30 day notice effective November 13 as I would be moving my things out. I tried contacting them several times to find out why I had not received my deposit back. Well, my thirty day notice went into December. So, in order to have received my refund, I would have had to pay for the month of December. Very poor communication about how you handle the move out date. Never got my deposit back sad to say. Be sure to ask a lot of questions before you rent and put down that security deposit.
