I felt this was in an odd location. Access was a little off the beaten path. Rooms are good, but the service was spectacular. The service far outweighs the other personal preferences.

Do not trust that your reservation details will be honored and in my opinion very poor business practices. Here is what happened.
I booked a room a couple weeks in advance. I chose a larger one-bedroom Queen suite, at a higher rate. This reservation was confirmed at this rate and this room type.
The day of the reservation I called to inform them that I would be checking in late as I know this can lead to your room being given away if they think you are a no-show. I also requested that the sofabed be made up. I was informed that I was switched to a two double-bed room. The reason I was given was that something in my profile stated I prefered two beds.
I happened to have my account open when I made this phone call and no such preference existed. When I mentioned this, they switched their story and said it was based on previous history. I pointed out that I chose this room type and had a confirmation. Their response was that there were not any one bedroom suites available, even though the online reservation system still showed that I could book one for that night.
I still needed a room and we could make this work so I didn't push or get rude. Now here is where the poor business practice comes in, I was bumped from a more expensive room to a much smaller standard room and bed size. Was my rate automatically lowered to match that change - nope. When I pointed this out they had to get a manager approval to lower my rate. They would have still charged me for the bigger room. The higher rate was still listed on my check-in paperwork.
To add insult to injury, the room we were given was right next to the elevator. This is clearly against what is in my stay preferences. So using my preferences as the reason for the bump was obviously, in my opinion, simply untrue.
We made the room work and it was fine, but will not be staying here in the future. I understand these things happen, but be honest. You over booked this room type and if you bump someone, you should automatically lower their rate to match the room, not charge them for something they are not getting.

I was put in a terrible position by a third party booker posing as IHG. Jo at the Candlewood front desk swooped in and saved the day. She provided amazing service and did her best to provide the beds that my party needed to make our stay comfortable. She went above and beyond what she needed to do and handled the entire situation like a professional. Thank you Jo!!!!!

Only 3 stars because I have not been getting my rewards since my 1st stay at an IHG/Candlewood.
I stayed at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Bolingbrook and received rewards.
Total of 21 stays with IHG totalling 72 nights...nothing.
When I contacted them about missing points, I was informed that since the reservations went through a 3rd party, no rewards! The Bolingbrook was reserved the same way.
The payment was the same...so not only did they just lose a customer (one that stays at hotels at least 10 months of the year), but in my position at my company...gonna recommend that we no longer do business with this brand anymore.

Clean room and staff were great. Breakfast was not at this hotel. This hotel was a little older but overall nice place to stay while traveling through.

I'm an IHG member & I come through hear about 6-12 times a year for work. The service is good. Walking distance to multiple restuarants. Short drive to Movie Theatre and Skyline Comedy Club.

Room was clean and what we needed for a single over night. Check out time is 10 am and when asked for late check upon arrival was told we could ask in the morning if allowed. Housing keep knock on the door at 8:30 am.

Very happy with our stay here. Staff was very friendly. Location was fantastic for getting around. Room had plenty of space, bed was super comfortable. Our room had a full mini kitchen with fridge and microwave. Bath has huge mirror and shower has great water pressure. Would definitely stay again.

I have stayed on multiple occasions and the rooms are always clean with a full kitchen. Very nice hotel, although the hallway and lobby always smell of a very sweet overbearing smell.

Couch and chairs in living area need an upgrade plus flooring. Bathtub bottom was scratched and looked dirty!
