I was directed to this location by Hertz for a car exchange, due to mechanical issues with my rental car from Chicago. I was assured there would not be any fees involved, as my car was exchanged for another “corporate” car (note that this location is franchise).
The proces ar the counter was a bit messy, as the girl at the counter had to call her boss twice for support during my visit, but in the end it seemed all fine. She again reassured me that the exchange was done correctly, my original booking was linked and no fees would be charged.
However, after returning the car, I got charged more than $2000, as if I had made a new booking on the day of the exchange.
I reached out to Customer service that didn’t understand the situation and did not follow up. We are now 1,5 months later and I am still waiting for my refund.
Very unprofessional.

Not only was booking easy, but pick up was quick and easy as well. Bryan was fantastic and very considerate of my 13 hour drive back home to ohio. I appreciate his kindness and customer centric approach. Thank you!

My flight was late and the office closes at 11pm, I got to the office at 1125, so I was left with no car!!

I have mixed reviews. The women who checked me out was very short, and not friendly as I asked questions. I rent all the time for work, and honestly was put back some.When I returned it there was a trainee, and the guy training and the person training were both very nice. The reason for the higher rating.

Do not rent from Hertz, they will report the car missing to police in order to save time and money, and you will be arrested, fined, and caged.

Had a dispute with the bill and the manager was reasonable. I think they are trying.

This location is permanently closed. They closed without telling their employees or honoring previously reserved vehicles. Last I checked you could still rent online from this location. Don’t. You won’t get a car.

I was referred to Hertz by my insurance after my car was unfortunately totaled. After having the vehicle for almost a month I was informed of how much I would be paying when I returned the vehicle. 3 days after returning the vehicle I was charged almost $700 after being told it would be closer to $500. Not only was the amount different but they charged me a $200 cleaning fee. After multiple attempts to reach someone regarding the difference we are going on almost a month with no call back. Would not recommend nor will I ever use Hertz again. So unhappy with how EVERYTHING was handled.

I had no issues with the actual pickup of the rental or the car itself. Service was professional and friendly. However, things in time of Corona call for flexibility and understanding. This is where the manager of the Appleton site failed miserably: I arrived to pick up the car one day later than planned, and therefore had to extend the rental one day. As I was not able to get a flight out of Appleton, I had my travel agency work out a drop-off in Eau Claire. When I dropped off the car in Eau Claire at 05:15am there was no person at the desk, and I dropped the keys and paperwork into the Hertz key drop box - as is customary. After not receiving a receipt within a few days, I called the Appleton Hertz site. I was informed then that the Eau Claire site is "permanently closed", and that someone from the La Crosse site checks for keys in the drop box once a month! Long story short: I was being charged for 10 days, but had the car for only 5 days. The manager in Appleton did not offer any compromise or apology. I had to pay nearly $2000 for a mid-size car for 5 days. This reflects poorly on Hertz!

Heather was amazing. I had an accident and my insurance company arranged for a rental car for me. She was patient and extremely helpful. I highly recommend going to Heather at Hertz.
