I regret going here. I am disappinted I was not better informed and that my initial diagnostic appears to have been incorrect, or at the very least, missed issues present.
This is an honest account of my last visit.
Went in for brakes squealing.
I was told front brakes and rotors were the issue.
Replaced both suggested front brakes and rotors at cost of $550.
If they reply and choose to bring up the fact that the rotors I had were installed wrong I do not debate that. That is why I approved the service to have the issue fixed.
At checkout I was denied a $30 coupon I had emailed to me because I brought it up several seconds after sale. I can forgive this because I mentioned it late, although at my job I would have definitely done the work to make that happen for a customer.
Same day after repair I noticed brakes still squealing. Continued to squeal in following days. I brought it back my first day off which was one week later.
I was told it is the rear brakes and rotors. This would be another $550.
They offered to lube and polish exsisting parts for $150.
I declined and left with my issue unresolved.
Customers should also be aware they charge a 3% credit card processing fee which is posted at the counter.
For these reasons I would not recommend using this service.

Tuffy Auto charged us 600.00 Did not fix the problem. Told us we had a broken head gasket and needed to replace the engine for 6000.00. We took for a second opinion and the car was fixed. We are waiting to see if we get a refund and an apology.
Repy to Tuffy's. Your response was not accurate and is manipulative to what happened and our situation. Absolutely Not truthful at all! Because you say it, does not make it true. Why would you want to replace the engine if what you did corrected the situation. Crazy.

This is a wonderful car repair place. My parents took their vehicles to the tuffys in Green Bay and highly recommend them, the Appleton location did not disappoint. They gave me a ride home and picked me up so I didn't have to wait, however the waiting area is very nice. The owners are very helpful and really nice guys.

Don’t know where these good reviews are coming from.
Please, seriously, so many good places to goto, don’t go here.
I’m as easy going as anyone and I’m familiar in the business. Recently moved up here and they were close by.
Terrible experience. I understand mistakes but the lying was what got me. It got to the point were I had to beg the guy behind the counter to just drive my vehicle.
Once he did he realized it was so serious I wasn’t able to drive it. Mind you, this was a situation they caused, then, charged me to fix.
Later, I found out this is common issues.
I have warranty on the replacement parts but seriously will go elsewhere and pay to be replaced.

Great group of guys, amazing mechanics always fix my vehicles right the first time! I Get rides back home till the work is done then they come back to take me to my vehicle its so convenient. I don't take my business anywhere else !

The staff are always courteous and welcoming. I've always been able to trust their honesty and professional opinion without being hassled to spend more money on unnecessary repairs. I go for repairs and oil changes. They go out of their way to do a great job!
