Update on 11/5/2025: We can't say enough good things about Specialty Auto....they're AWESOME! Dwight and Kate have followed up several times after repairs, just to be sure everything was working correctly, which, of course, they were! Who does that these days? Please be assured your vehicle will be properly serviced....they're an excellent team! 👍😊

Wow, we can't say enough great things about the wonderful owners, Kate and Dwight, and their son, Kyle, at Specialty Auto. My girlfriend and I had her disabled Volvo towed to their shop and they not only fixed the underlying issue, but also addressed some other issues that had been created by prior service shops. Pretty incredible to see these days!!!
Throughout the entire process, they were courteous to work with and truly wanted to make sure the repairs were done to our satisfaction and we were happy with the results. Prices were fair and their receipts clearly documented what they did and the parts used.
We will not hesitate to take our vehicles to them again, and I would highly recommend their services!

I’ve lived in several states — most recently Colorado — and I have never found a more knowledgeable, trustworthy mechanic than Specialty Auto in Arena, Wisconsin. Kate and Dwight are truly exceptional people who care deeply about their work and their customers. They go above and beyond every single time. I would literally drive from Colorado just to have them service my vehicle because I know it’ll be done right. It’s rare to find this level of honesty, expertise, and genuine kindness in the auto industry. Specialty Auto sets the standard!

We've had our Prius in a couple times to Specialty Auto and they've been great. Super nice and easy to work with. So far, they've done great work. We had some mouse damage and they fixed it quickly and for a good price.

We're in Madison but have a reason to be in Arena quite a bit, so we have our VW serviced at Specialty Auto. They're terrific, can tackle all kinds of issues, and are super personable. We appreciate them and recommend them!

Brought a car that quit starting in for diagnostic and estimate. Gave a high estimate. I accepted as you can't shop around with a car that doesn't run. Weeks went by no communication. When I stopped in wrong diagnosis nothing fixed want to charge 700$ for fixing nothing and a car that won't run.

So fortunate to have discovered this business. The service was exceptional from scheduling this oil change through its completion and full discussions and estimates for future maintenance needs. It's good to know that there are quality, honest mechanics out there especially after losing my trusted mechanic after many years.
