Workers are rude as heck and as soon as you walk in they stare you down and have a nasty attitude when wanting to sell clothes.

Always a great experience walking into this store. The girls are always friendly right when you walk in the door, they always have a upbeat personality which makes the shopping experience ten times better. Some of the items can be a little pricey but I always leave with a bunch of cute finds!

Worst customer service out of any store in green bay. The workers here have no idea how to treat their customers and the attitude behind their answers to any questions you may ask will make you cringe shop anywhere else.

It was my first time trying to sell clothes at a Plato’s Closet, and it wasn’t a great experience. First off, it was not mentioned anywhere on the website that clothes could not be bagged and had to be in a hard container. So drove half an hour to the store and ended up having to go to Dollar Tree to buy a basket before coming back. I then waited 45 minutes, only to find that they would only take 5 items of the clothing in my big basket - for a little under $10. I do understand that you only get a percentage of the value of the item, but this still felt low to me for the quality and quantity of the clothing that they did accept. I was told that the rest of my clothes were outside of the 2 year style range, however, all of the clothing I had brought was purchased within the last year and included name brand items. I also noticed that while browsing the selection in the store that a lot of the items in there were very similar in style to what I had brought in - with many of the items definitely being even older in style than what I brought in. I ended up just donating my entire basket of clothes to St. Vincent de Paul. I only gave two stars because the girls in the store were very nice, and I understand they are just enforcing policy and the employees don’t make the rules. Still very frustrating though, and I am definitely curious on what this company define as “in-style” because I like to keep up with fashion trends and there was plenty in the store that was not “trendy.”

Buying policy has changed so much over the years… they take little to nothing when EVERYTHING I was selling was purchased from PC in the first place- rather ironic. I understand they have to be picky, but it’s gotten a little pathetic. The selection has really gone down hill as well. I have given up trying to sell after seeing multiple things from the early 2000s/2010s— including a (very worn and dirty) men’s pair of Nikes from 2008? Yet my clothes I purchased this year from them (!!) are “too old.” I think if their buying team gets on the same page as one another, customers may have less polarizing opinions about their buying process. Personally I would rather give to the homeless shelter than waste my time with their hypocrisy.

definitely not worth it. if you’re looking for some extra cash it’s good but other then that don’t waste a trip. the things they have in store aren’t nice at all and are all old and don’t compare to what you bring in. definitely would recommend going to a local place first or selling them yourself.

Apparently they don’t take clothes in bags but they didn’t tell us that when we came in and said they would take it and made us wait an hour just to not even look in the bags and just say it’s out of style or damaged when it was like just bought stuff in the bag

Usually always shop here. Employee's seem more judgmental when i walk in now. prices are great! usually a hit or miss store. Do not recommend taking clothes into sell.

Good selection of name brand clothes and shoes. The staff are also very nice. My only problem with plato's Closet is their selling process. The couple of times I have brought clothes into them they have bought so little of my clothes it's insane. I understand that they need to be picky but it is insane how little they will take. Other than that whenever I go there to buy it is always a good experience.

While I agree that selling clothes Plato's Closet isn't always super lucrative, it is still my #1 choice of store to stop by when searching for trendy, stylish, and high-quality clothing at affordable prices. I prefer to shop second hand instead of supporting fast fashion, and I can usually find what I'm looking for here. The store offers a great selection and is well-organized. I try to stop in when I'm nearby as their selection is constantly changing.

I always find really cute clothes, but compared to other thrift store's it's a little expensive, but for cute teenage clothes it's very reasonable

Every time I come here, the store experience just keeps getting worse and worse. Majority of the clothes here are from super cheaply made brands like forever 21, shein, etc. and something that might cost five or six dollars brand new is marked up to $12-$15 here. They also carry a lot of non-name brand items for claiming to be a name-brand resale store. If they do have anything in a good brand like Nike or Patagonia, it's a $30-$60 item at-least.I'm kind of uncertain how they can claim to be sustainable and to be doing better for the planet, but still have loads of items from unethical fast fashion brands.I also have a huge problem with the lack of availability of larger sizes. While I realize that they can only buy in what is brought in, I have also seen a lot of plus size women bring in clothes to sell and have almost all of their stuff turned away. I have better luck finding items in my size and style in an affordable price range at local thrift stores. Which is saying something, considering they don't nitpick their inventory. Platos GB has tried so hard to cater to one specific style, that they are forgetting about a lot of others that are also wanting to buy and sell clothes. Nothing about the store is sustainable, inclusive, or affordable for an average consumer.
