We will not be returning. We paid for our tax prep on February 28th. After a month of waiting and not seeing a refund, I decided to reach out asking if something happened. Our paperwork got mixed up and wasn't filed until yesterday (3/30) so now we have to wait another 2-4 weeks.I am glad I reached out before the deadline and didn't just assume the IRS was being slow - because then what would have happened?Mistakes happen, but the 3 years we have been customers, this wasn't the first.

EDIT: They gave us a refund for the tax preparation. Still haven't spoken to Chris, nor do I want to, but Ethan Berube has been fixing everything for us and has gone above and beyond with helping us. Very kind and smart and really helpful at very good at explaining things. If you can only use him, use him. Ethan has fixed all our issues.Do NOT use Wicker Financial. My husband and I used them to file our return. Chris filed our taxes the first day of filing. We received a letter from the State of WI asking for our W-2's again. We used the contact submission form on Chris's website asking what to do about it. We heard nothing back, so we called him. Told us "oh yeah, just do whatever the letter says." So we sent them our W-2's since he must not have included those in the first filing. Finally received a letter from the State of WI saying that we filed incorrectly and that we actually owe them money now instead of the refund we expected. The letter said "To avoid a penalty in the future, please file according to Wisconsin Income Tax Law." That's what we expected from Chris, to file according to the law, but he did not do that. I emailed Chris the letter. He did not respond. I called him and he stated "oh I don't think I received the email, let me check - oh wait okay here it is." When he looked at the letter, Chris he said "oh, oops, put the wrong number in the income box." an "oops" was not reassuring to hear and he acted rather flippant and unprofessional when I told him how dissatisfied I was with this whole situation. Will never use Wicker Financial again. I wholeheartedly recommend everyone to NOT use them either.

I am so happy to have found Chris, he is hands down the best tax preparer and financial advisor that I have ever had. We live here in town, and we will continue to go to Chris for all of our tax returns and financial help/needs.

Chris has prepared our taxes for the last three years and we couldn't be happier. He also advises about how to save for your retirement. His fees are much more manageable than those national chain tax preparers.

My husband & I just moved to Baldwin in November. We didn't know anyone to help us get our taxes completed. I had made a couple of calls to two CPA offices in Hudson, Wisconsin & was flabbergasted at their fees. We couldn't afford to pay $300-$400 to have our taxes done, which is what those places cost. Luckily the local Baldwin bargain paper arrived in the mail where I found Wicker Financial Services advertised for tax preparation. I made a call & Chris Wicker kindly answered & we set an appointment for us to come in so he could take a look a our tax situation. His wife Amy greeted us & made us feel welcome. Chris was able to help us & it didn't cost us anything near those other places. We will definitely be using Chris again. We want to thank Chris & Amy for making us feel welcome in the community & helping us get our taxes completed. We highly recommend Wicker Financial Services for tax preparation & financial advice.
