I just wish there was a local office with office staff to go too when you need something. I don’t like being routed to India when I have to call with a problem as has happened since I’ve been your customer.

If i could give 0 stars, I would! Stay away from Amerigas. They will raise your costs without warning, over charge on install or removal fees, not be clear on what the fees are if you inquire and that is IF you can understand the foreign staff that answers your calls. And you can forget about getting any credits or money back on gas left in the tanks that they take away. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with.

Corporate takeover ruined this company. My Baraboo location used to be awesome. Emergency deliveries when I had to use them were same day. Now theres a call center that tells me it’s 72 hours??? How is that an emergent response?? Plus they want to charge $300 JUST TO DELIVER. That’s not including the propane price! I’m switching to United Coop. Good riddance.

Worst customer service department I’ve heard. On a phone call with them for an hour to continue our contact with them. After trying to deal with them we’re going to look for a different LP company.

Amerigas costs WAY too much for their annual fees on tank rentals compared to United Coop. Up until recently, I did not have any negative experiences with their service or staff, however, after learning how much cheaper United Coop is, I decided to switch my service. I had to change the date for Amerigas to pick up my tanks from the original one after realizing I still had a full tank of propane when I thought they were both empty. I had a 3 week stretch of not visiting my camper and when I arrived Memorial Day weekend at 8:00pm I had NO TANKS! They took my tanks almost 2 months before the date I requested, and one of them was full. I was left with no propane on one of the coldest nights in May (32 degrees). The emergency line was absolutely NO HELP! They told me there was nothing they could do. Luckily, when I called United Coop, I had an amazing employee, who came to my rescue at 9:00pm to hook me up for the weekend. Amerigas never called me back, even though I requested from the Emergency Line to have a local manager call me. I ended up talking to their customer service line (never able to get a local person) and requested a refund on the full tank they took. I have been told I will get the refund in 2-4weeks. We'll see if it ever shows up. Not feeling confident when they couldn't remember to leave my tanks until the date I requested.

Avoid this company if possible, they have closed the local office and you have to wait 90 minutes online for service even though they charge the highest rates for fuel

Find another provider. Impossible to get a hold of anyone. They want everything online. No one in office. Don't answer phone. 90 minute hold time to talk to someone. They obviously don't need my business.

When Amerigas had the Baraboo office it was great! Now it is terrible. Your on hold for 45 or more minutes, you call and request a tank refill and nobody shows because they have no record of it! That is not good when your furnace runs on propane. I will be switching propane companies!

Even though we returned our tanks to the Baraboo Amerigas well over a year ago we keep getting bills. Each time I call and explain and they say they will take care of it but I keep getting bills. Today I tried calling again but now you get a recorded message and can't get thru. This is so frustrating.
