I bought a Yamaha digital piano. The salesperson was extremely helpful in helping me choose from their wide selection. I am really enjoying my new piano - it is perfect for my needs. I found the store to have a great selection, great prices, and really helpful people.

Steve, the guitar tech is the best. He is affordable and will not gouge you for more cash and when I tried to tip him he refused. He definitely knows his stuff. I have had him repair 2 of my Basses and I couldn't be happier with the results and the promptness of the repairs. I drive 45 minutes to see him and it is well worth it. I hope Guitar Center knows what an asset he is to the staff. He is easy to get a hold of. Keep up the great work Steve and I know where I am going the next time I have an issue with any of my Basses.

Looking to get into modular synthesizers (I am completely confused), I stopped in to get some information on where to start. The gentlemen at the front desk politely directed me to the "pro" desk in the back. The guy working back there (Adam?) seemed like I was bothering him as he was fiddling with an envelope not bothering to look up and engage a new customer. When he finished doing whatever was more important than helping me we walked to the room to where the synthesizers are. Seemed like pulling teeth to get him to point me in the right direction to get a started. He never did, other than showing me a couple of items in the case and telling me he really didn't know much. Guess I will take my business elsewhere because these guys don't seem to want it.

I showed up to buy a replacement for my Boss Katana 100w and the Fulltone OCD on my pedalboard. I'm a gigging musician and looking to refine my tone a bit. I was asked to turn down which is fine of course (I thought I was being respectful running through a clean channel on less than 1/8 volume and not playing stairway or bad noodling). I realized that when I turned down further I couldn't quite assess the tone like I wanted to and didn't see headphones available for use. I asked respectfully if there were any practice rooms I could use where I wouldn't be bothering anyone and the gentleman behind the desk seemed annoyed and pointed to a room but said there's no soundproofing.I don't mind being asked to be quiet and I apologize if I was being a bother. But I drove well over an hour to try gear with my guitar and pedal setup and actually buy well over a thousand worth of gear. I tried finding solutions where I wouldn't be a bother to anybody. Instead I ended up packing all of my gear back up and driving home without the opportunity to check anything. I understand wanting everyone to feel at home and not wanting to have your ears blown out but I was playing non overdriven stuff and made it clear I was ready to make a purchase that day. All in all, I spent over two hours on the road to feel insulted and turned away. Unpleasant experience.

Went in to look for a guitar and amp for my husband as a gift. Wasn't sure what I wanted, looked obviously out of place there. Not a single employee asked if I needed help the whole 20 minutes I was there. So I left feeling defeated. Cool looking guitars though.

I purchased my daughter a new guitar in October and paid extra for a warranty. The guitar stopped working—it has some electrical glitch. That happened in two weeks after purchase. We drove an hour to bring it in for repair. Guess what? They did NOT honor the warranty and instead, sent a kid home in tears. Screw these clowns. I’m thinking of suing them, so if you’re also screwed over by them, reach out to me. Horrible business practices and terrible customer service.
