I purchased a 2022 Tiguan from Soerens Ford on October 1st. The very next day, the check engine light came on. On October 6th, the vehicle was returned to Soerens for service and then sent to Hall WV for further evaluation. By October 17th, it was brought back to Soerens because Hall WV had not even looked at it. I was told the issue required a part that was on back order and advised I could continue driving the car until the part arrived.
On October 24th, the low engine oil level light appeared. After confirming the oil was low, it was replenished, but the car began leaking oil the following day. I immediately notified the dealership. On October 27th, the vehicle was returned again and has remained there ever since.
On November 21st, I called for an update and was told they were attempting to send the car to an import dealership, but no diagnosis had been made because they were waiting for a VW expert to assess the issue.
It is now December 5th, and I still have no answers, no resolution, and no timeline for repair. I drove my “brand new” car for about a week total. This experience has been unacceptable from start to finish. I believe I was sold a lemon, and I strongly caution anyone considering Soerens Ford to reconsider before doing business here. The one star is simply for good customer service because they have been nice. However when it comes to solving the issue they have fallen extremely short.

My car was serviced at my home in winter conditions outside. My oil was changed and my tires were rotated. Great service, clean, and efficient. I felt sorry for the two men performing the work in the extreme cold, but they didn’t complain and worked well together. I strongly recommend Soerens Ford’s service department.

Requested and received the “works” maintenance package on vehicle. Arrived at appointment about 15 minutes prior to scheduled time, vehicle was taken in promptly, and task was completed in a timely manner in a very satisfactory way. It was a pleasure doing business with someone that could get the job done quickly, correctly, and hassle free!

Great customer service, the Techs were very professional they gave updates regarding the timeline for completing the service and had me back on the road in a reasonable amount of time. Sorens has consistently provided top notch service!

Great service here at Soerens Ford. Service department is very helpful and caring to my needs such as an oil change and getting new tires. They will take the time to search for tires that are comfortable for your budget and what's best for you. I enjoy taking my car there for service, thank you Soerens.

If I could grant negative reviews with zero stars, I would. Problems with our automatic 10-speed transmission at 42k. Zero resolution. UNSAFE. Ford and dealership dismissed our concerns over several attempts to address issues. Vehicle stalled in intersections slipping out of gear, before we even put a new set of tires on. NO FLEXIBILITY WITH RENTAL. Finally broke down and purchased a brand new transmission (from a different dealership) and still feels about as reliable as a handle on a snowball. DONE. Never buying a Ford again thanks to the truck, dealership servicing our “vehicle” and the manufacturer.
Luckily, Lake Ford treated us EXCELLENTLY with empathy and respect. John Steele and The service department made our hardship more tolerable based solely on John’s relentless pursuit of excellence and honesty. He made it as right as he could and if he sold another brand, I’d buy from him in a heartbeat.
