I had a really big and important photo project for a local basketball team and we made some poster/gifts for each of them. I worked with Crystal in the photo department and she was absolutely AMAZING!These days customer service is hard to come by but Crystal was SO professional, kind, responsive, knowledgable...everything needed to make our project successful! I felt she truly cared about how the canvases turned out and she helped me troubleshoot sizing, quality, etc. She was always there to communicate and help me figure things out. She was truly wonderful to work with. If you have a photo project that needs done, be sure to work with Crystal at the Calhoun/Ruby Isle location. Walgreens is lucky to have her as an employee and I really appreciate the care and time she put into this project. THANK YOU CRYSTAL!

I, like many others, have experienced a significant decrease in customer service in pharmacy. All issues are likely to be outside of anyone who works at this specific pharmacy. Shame on the regional managers who are not able to resolve stocked drug supplies, IT for clumsy interfaces to manage auto refills and/or resolve problems in their system… even though I’ve confirmed that my insurance is active & in the system. Do better. Increase your staffing so that they can get back to serving their patients’ ability to stay healthy & be compliant.

Update: DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY
After my previous review, we experienced yet another serious issue that could have endangered our child’s life. Due to an error in our doctor’s system, our prescriptions were sent here again. Unfortunately, this Walgreens mishandled the situation once more.
Instead of filling the new antibiotic our child needed, they gave us the old prescription left from the previous incident. This was the very medication that caused an allergic reaction and sent our child to an emergency visit. Thankfully, we caught the mistake before administering it.
When my husband went back to resolve the issue, another customer was there experiencing a similar problem. This level of negligence is dangerous and unacceptable—check your prescriptions carefully. Mistakes like these can have deadly consequences.
And Walgreens deal with this issue soon!!
OLD REVIEW: Walgreens is a hit and miss depending on location . Thats for sure, our visit started, on this Ruby Isle in Calhoun location. When we received a notification at 4:50 PM that our 7-month-old’s emergency antibiotic prescription (submitted at 11am today by our doctor) was ready for pickup. Understanding the urgency, we rushed to the pharmacy and arrived at 4:57 PM, just before their posted closing time of 5 PM. However, our experience at the drive-thru window was disappointing.
When we arrived, two employees at the window seemed to ignore us, despite us pressing the call button. They had already displayed a sign indicating they were closed. At 5:00 PM, one of the employees finally responded, informing us that the pharmacy was closed. We explained the urgency of our situation, but instead of assisting us, she engaged in unprofessional behavior, laughing and speaking with another employee, whose microphone was accidentally left on, allowing us to hear an inappropriate comment about us.
The second employee, approached the window and also told us the pharmacy was closed. Despite repeated explanations from my husband and myself that this was an emergency prescription for an infant and that we had arrived before closing time, we were dismissed. The employee claimed she did not see anyone at the window at 5 PM, which was untrue and understandably frustrating.
We parked and sought help from the store manager, Tammy, who, along with another young woman at the counter, was kind and understanding. They suggested transferring the prescription to the Walgreens in Wauwatosa on Mayfair and North, where Mitch provided exceptional service. Mitch quickly expedited the process, reassuring us with his professionalism and empathy. He turned a stressful situation into a positive experience, and we are deeply grateful for his help.
Tammy also made efforts to gather the names of the employees involved, as they refused to identify themselves. Based on her records, the staff on duty included Rama, Yunna, Adam , Johnny, Julio, and Joleen. The employees in question that mistreated were two young women. This is not the first time this location falls short . To be honest it my fault because I know this ( it’s always been a horrible location) yet I forgot to ask our doctor to transfer the prescription in the stress of everything. But to wait hours to fill a prescription and the. Put it near closing when even our doctor put a rush order… and for an infant well that is beyond unprofessional is negligence.

The pharmacy has so many issues. Numerous times, if there is an insurance issue (like maybe your refill was a day early), rather than them calling insurance to figure it out, they will just cancel the prescription and not notify you. They regularly don’t have basic prescriptions in stock while any other nearby pharmacy does. The ONLY reason I go here is because my insurance has a relationship with Walgreens that makes my medications cheaper.

Worst service at the pharmacy dept. They made me wait for almost one hour after saying my prescription would be ready in 20-30 min, and at the end I couldn’t even get it, so they asked me to come back later

Absolute worst customer service.
Had my hands full and they wouldn't help me, then after begging everything and my hands are completely full they ask me to take the basket back. The pharmacy said they would have my mother-in-law's prescriptions at 4. At 4:45 they had only one. She's 81 and dying of cancer and they were so incredibly rude. Moving our business elsewhere.

Walgreens in general is an awful company, but this location is one of the few that does it right. Friendly, professional staff and fast service both in the front and at the pharmacy. Their customer service is commendable.

This Walgreen has clowns for employees working here they are rude, inefficient and unhelpful to the highest extent. They use technicalities to not help you and excuses.
The pharmacist I spoke to told me ‘oh we cannot get to the insurance and we cannot refill the prescription anything else I can do for you” ? I explained to her we need a single dose to get by tonight for my autistic son who stays awake the whole night without his medication. We were not asking for narcotics just his medication prescribed to him by his doctor and he is on Medicaid and yes you are going to get your money. Then they went on to tell they would have to make a “whole suspension” for one dose and that was not possible.
Long story short with zero empathy and care she went on some on with some tutored corporate rant , as to how the single dose was not possible.
The bottomline is that with the destruction of the mom and pop stores by these evil corporates this malaise called Walgreen we have gotton used to a substandard experience waiting on the phone for an employee for 20 mins has become the norm and then if you have to talk to a manager thats another 20.
Walgreens needs to be isolated and discarded and reduced to bankruptcy- till they value their customers. There are other local pharmacies which will deliver the medications to your home without a fee, do your research they are local.
Walgreens you suck and because of you my child will suffer and not in this lifetime will I step in your store. Support local and spread the word thank you.

The worst pharmacy. I haven’t seen a pharmacist more rude than at this pharmacy. Normally pharmacists are very sympathetic & listen to customers but the one here is worst. Will never send my prescription here

I ordered pick up and was given the option to pick up in drive thru or photo counter. I chose drive thru. The lady pharmacist was absolutely terrible. She denied giving me my order within seconds of me pulling up. “You have to come in, I don’t have it, I don’t do that.” And looked at me like I was redicilous for even choosing that option. Curbside is no longer an option and I have several children I can not leave in the car. I will not be coming to this Walgreens again.

If I could give this pharmacy a negative rating, I would. They are inefficient, rude and don't care a bit about their customers. I can't count how many serious issues I have had with them. I am done. As a pharmacist myself, I am appalled at how they treat me. I spent over a half hour waiting to pick up a prescription that was not only ready, but also paid for. When I finally got to the checkout, she kept telling me to enter my phone number over and over for their rewards, which I don't use. When I got perturbed, the pharmacist threatened to not give me my prescription. I'm a little old lady for gosh sake. I see why Walgreens is in trouble. With employees like that, I hope they go out of business.

Don’t go here for vaccinations or shots. These guys messed up my wife’s shot and gave her covid vaccination even after she asked them before they injected the syringe. No accountability as well and case was silently closed. She had vaccine side effect (because of different covid vaccine brands) for which we had to pay out of our pocket to get it checked from a doctor and sorted.
