On march 15th I bought flaming hot bird seed. Its supposed to repel squirrels, well it repelled all my birds. I returned it , using one cup about, and the lady would NOT refund me or even give me a credit. I find that unacceptable!

I placed a fairly large order with them, which was sent to me free during Covid, so I appreciated that. However, the EcoClean feeder, which I believe is their brand, went unused Spring through Fall. Plenty of birds but they elected to use other feeders. The seed they sent me had pantry moths. When I contacted them, all they said was to not keep seed more than 3 months, which wasn't the issue. Nice. $100+ and a moth problem in my house. Classy place.

I recieved free shipping with my order, but only 1 of 2 boxes delivered. After 3 business days & the tracking stating that the shipment was lost, I contacted the store. I was instructed to contact the shipper myself. I reported the information from tracking to the WBU employee, Barb, who requested I contact the shipper in order to receive further help from WBU. The shipper informed me, again, that the shipment was lost because the shipping carton had other tracking numbers, making delivery confusing for the shipper. I contacted Barb again & reported this information. She denied having other tracking information on the lost carton & questioned me further. I reminded her that she was free to contact the carrier herself. She finally agreed to replace the 2 items. It is sad WBU is content in losing customers due to poor customer service over 2 items. After I pick up those items, I will take my business to a company that is customer friendly.

Wonderful people and so helpful! I’m a balcony “bird feeder” and squirrels can be a pest! I normally put out safflower seed to help deter them. I ran out of it and put in sunflower chips in my my feeders and while I got the goldfinches and such, the squirrels loved as well ?. But I visited for the first time a week ago and got a finch feeder and nyjer seed, as well as non big box store of safflower seed! Couldn’t be happier. The gold finches found their feeder within 24 hrs, after a 2 week absence! And the owner assured me that squirrels are not a fan of nyjer seed as well! So far so good! They try to climb up my balcony and they don’t stay long ! I can tell by lack of squirrel droppings and less activity trying to poach the birdies food!

I entered the store for the last time today. I've been going here through at least three ownership changes. WBU has some of the best hardware on the market. The conduit pole system can't be beat and the recycled feeders are great. This store management, however, doesn't care about employees or customers. When I arrived I noticed a sign that said only two customers in the store at once, please knock. OK. Good idea, I thought. The door opened and two customers came out and an unmasked employee invited me in. Hmmm, no mask. Check that, no masks. There were three employees in the store not one wore a mask which is a sign that they don't worry about spreading the virus to their customers. (Masks don't protect the wearer. They protect the others.) In addition, there were all ready two customers in the store. I made number three. A man stocking bird seed didn't seem to care that I was looking at the seed. He came right up to me and plopped bags of seed near me...and he was unmasked. I found this extremely inconsiderate. At that point, I put my product down and left the store. I won't be back. I've put up with poor service and bad advice in this store in the past because I liked the pole system, feeders, and houses. Today's lack of concern for customer safety was the last straw. I tried to support a local small business today. This one doesn't deserve my business. If you decide to visit, take plenty of sanitizer and pray that the help doesn't carry the virus.

Love this place, I am a young 11 year old birder and these people have guided my well on my bird feeding journey. Helped me see my first oriole just two years ago. Since have seen many more and much more bird species.
