I scheduled an eyeglasses/contact exam a few weeks ago and all was fine. they only had one person really working the floor after my exam so i had to wait longer to place my order. When all was said and done they couldn’t tell me when my glasses were to be in. no biggie, i’ve ordered from americas best before back in my hometown and knew it was about 7 - 10 days. fast forward to today, i give them a call as it’s been 2 weeks just to see if maybe they had them at the store but forget to give me a call. a woman picks up and i tell her “hey I’m just calling to see if there was maybe an update on my glasses.” she cuts me off “did you get a call or text from us?” i replied “not yet, but the website says to feel free to give the location a call after 2 weeks.” she was pretty short with me “we don’t have them then.” i’ve been going to america’s best for over a decade now and to be treated like this was very much upsetting to say the least. If you can just try to go to a different location, this one seems to be unorganized.

I’ve had a good experience here in the past. I called to schedule an eye exam and the receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful. Will not be returning here.

Had an appointment in December and was supposed to get a call back once my insurance info came for my contacts and glasses and never received a call. I went back up there to inquire and was assured I would get a call back this time and again never did. Now I guess I don’t qualify for the discount for my new glasses because it’s after the 30 days and I still never received my contacts.

Completely unorganized and terrible communication.I've gone to this clinic for regular exams for the past 4 years, each time they have an issue finding my file or the right file. Each time they tell me "Oh, it should be in the computer THIS way, let me change that." 1 year later, we do the same conversation. Probably costs an extra 15 minutes every visit and holds up the other people waiting.That's pretty minor, but what prompted me to write this review is an issue with a record release. I've been requesting the clinic send my eye records to a surgical clinic to complete my referral from my PCP. I've been making this request, and so has the triage specialists at the surgical clinic, since early Nov. They still haven't sent them, despite talking on the phone, emailing, and showing up in person. I'm always assured they'll get it done "when the Dr. is back" (because they always say he's out to lunch, on PTO, on vacation, etc.)Now the year is almost completely booked up and I'm most likely unable to get in this year. This is after buying up to a higher insurance tier in anticipation of this major expense.This clinic's terrible communication is going to cost me THOUSANDS of dollars in additional premium costs this year and next because I won't be able to see the right doctors. It's honestly outrageous that I have to follow-up at all, let alone this extensively.

I've been going to this location for about five years... Today I visited to receive an eye exam and left with 2 pairs of glasses and 4 extra pairs of lenses for glasses that I already own. The total cost was below $200 with no insurance. Their base price for two of frames and basic lenses with an eye exam for $79.99... 2 pairs of RayBan frame with lenses are $275ish with basic frames and eye exam.Special thanks to Jeffrey for his help today... The doctor and everyone there is always so helpful and polite as usual.

Schedule an eye exam two weeks ago I got a call last min the same day . Stating we got cancel your appt because we don’t have physical dr here or a virtual doctor. We’re just open today to give out glasses and contact lenses. So I reschedule the following weekend “I cancel due to having Covid” . So here it is today my appt at 12 noon. I got a text yesterday to confirm my appt for today at 12 noon, got a phone call to confirm my appt today. And at 9:45am today I get a call out equipment broke down no virtual appointment today and then when I called another America best he told me they have appts he don’t know what I was cancelled etc… I call the American best brown deer location back and I asked why was I cancelled due to no dr she didn’t say hold on she just place me on hold after I asked my question!They should just close the whole location down! No drs, equipment breaking , poor customer service, etc!!!

Very pleased with the speed of service of my eye exam. Many times medical service providers run behind scheduled appointment times…I had Zero delays. The eye doctor was very friendly… the pre-exam was done by T’Keyah, who has very fun, engaging interaction with patients. Sarah & Andrea processed my order for new contacts quickly & expertly.I am VERY impressed with my experience at the location on Green Bay Rd in Brown Deer, just north of Milwaukee

Absolutely terrible. Should be called America's WORST Contacts and Eyeglasses. I guess I can thank the Manager Shardae for such a bad experience. Never been talked down to before or insulted over how the glasses I chose looked on me. Very rude. I have been coming here for years, I am disappointed in the service today.

The customer service at this store is terrible. They told me that they would give me a call when my contact trials were delivered to the store. I waited over a month with no call from them to check in on the status. Once I called I was told that my trials have been in for over two weeks. This store is full of incompetent management, workers, and business operations. -5/10.

Shardae was very helpful and patient with me. Due to my last experience with American Best I was unsure if I was going to return. Shardae made this experience awesome.

They do charge people with insurance more money and advise you to purchase the insurance incase they are broken or damaged. I went in to have my glasses repaired and was told they have been discontinued and the insurance only last a year and it had expired. So, I would have to purchase another frame. They don't have to worry about me coming back.

ZERO STARS! Poor customer service, no assistance with selecting eye wear. Sales associate was not knowledgeable about the lens selecting and had a terrible attitude. She didn't tell me if the frames were good for the prescription. When we picked up the glasses all three associates that tried adjusting the glasses were clueless to adjusting eye wear. They were mad because the lab sent the glasses to their office that way. One of the associates said that adjusting eyewear was above their pay grade. Just terrible!

Totally wasted my time. I called ahead was advised the doctor would be "out to lunch" @ 1pm -2 pm, and I would be good to go anytime after that. However when I arrived I was met with an attitude and offered an appointment the following day. Prior to arriving I explained my situation and was given misinformation!!!! I would have NOT driven 10 miles to the location...had the person over the phone simply given me the correct information. Communication is key !
