This review is only related to Budget truck rental through Paulsons. We have no experience with their car sales/other sales. We rented a truck and the owner pushed and pushed and pushed for us to take insurance even though we told him we were covered and he continued to push until we drove off the lot (we caved). The truck is supposed to have a 10 point inspection and he clearly had not done it because one of the tires was a temporary replacement tire: the wrong size and half of the treads were worn completely smooth. There was old duct tape between the cab and the trailer which was so worn that my husband literally got rained on inside the cab while driving, plus a second tire was very under inflated. Budget was not helpful and when we sent photos of the worn tire they said “I wouldn’t drive it to California, but it should be fine going as far as Duluth“. We ended up calling for a replacement tire because it was dangerous to drive on the one. When we returned the truck in Duluth, the owner of that shop said he immediately sent it for repairs because it was not appropriate to rent it. This could’ve been a very dangerous situation for us if we had not pushed to have the bald/small tire replaced before driving at highway speeds. Neither Budget or Paulsons would work with us to give us a discount or remove the insurance charge, even though we called before renting to say we felt pressured and did not want the insurance. I would never rent from this business or Budget truck rental again.

For a used car dealership it's exactly what you'd expect. However, I'm not too thrilled with the vehicle I was sold. Buying a $2k car and having to dump almost $1,200 into it within 2 months is a little off putting. I don't think I'd come back to buy another vehicle, if I wasn't forced to for something affordable.

We got a really good deal on a 2012 Suzuki Grand Vitara. However, we had a broken belt and a bad alternator a week after the purchase (it had been sitting all winter). Todd sent us a check for $300 to help cover the expenses. You can't ask more from a dealer to stand behind their sale. Thanks!
