I love this place, but it's a long way to drive to find out they aren't even open sometimes when the hours say they are. I maybe should have learned by now since it's happened twice, but FYI always call first

I love this store! If you're looking for vintage 70's NOS items from jeans, shirts, hats ect this is the place! I highly recommend especially if you're into vintage.

Going to Dretzka's is as close to finding a time machine as you're going to get. it takes you back to a time of independent department stores located in downtown areas. We really enjoyed looking around and spent about an hour going through all the various items available. If you want a shopping "experience", Dretzka's will not disappoint. I have trouble finding hats that fit me and found and purchased one here that fit me nicely. They have a wide selection of different kinds of men's hats and I would recommend it for those alone. There may be some unusual things to find here if you are a crafter or a sewer. The flour sack towels they have here are exceptional compared to what you can get elsewhere. They do not accept credit cards, so make sure you have cash if you stop by to purchase anything. Check out the old school receipt attached. Also, remember to look up when you are in the store at the old "cash system" they had in place up until the '60's.

Classic " department store", nice selection of men's hats. Lots of items that you can not find any more. Wonderful throw back to 1060:s

Love reading these reviews from 3 years ago about the store not being open during posted hours. Man, wonder what happened in 2020. Gosh I just can't imagine what could have been going on at that time. It's almost like there was some kind of what is it called. You know, when there's an infectious sickness going around and it's on every news channel and you can't see your loved ones because you weren't even supposed to be out at that time anyway, much less out and demanding that antique stores expose their septagenarian workers to things that would further compromise their immunity. Golly.

This place is the coolest!! A real-live department store, like they used to be!!! You must check it out! It's like going back in time!

This is truly a step back in time. Hardwood floors. Paper receipts. Cash only. So much to look at on three levels. It is a department store from 1908 that is still operated by the same family. This is worth a visit. And yes you should buy something even if it’s a small item. They have a wide selection of everything. Just take a look at the photos.

To be honest, the store isn’t kept very well, and you’ll have to arrive around 1pm to ensure they’re open, but the owners are very sweet, and I think they’re doing the best they can considering their old age. This place is a time capsule in my opinion, and I love looking at all the old gems they have here. I’ve been before, and I’d definitely go again.

Been here before and it was an experience but showed up 15 minutes after the posted opening time and they were still closed.

First of all, this place is crazy overpriced. Not everything that is old, and I mean extremely old, is worth premium prices. There is dirt, dust, mold, and clutter everywhere. It definitely has a novelty frozen in time like quality, not unlike Pripyat near the Chernobyl plant. Why on earth was there no attempt for decades to mark down and sell prior year’s products is beyond me. They must own the building and maybe the whole block, and live off the rents, because there is no possible way they sell enough to stay in business. On the other hand, a lot of the items are American made which is rare nowadays and the family owners were friendly. I would have given more stars if the prices were closer to Goodwill levels.

I absolutely loved this store. Full of deadstock vintage items and perfect for those of us obsessed with vintage items. I think the prices are really fair, especially knowing how expensive some of the items are when people are reselling them. This place is a hidden gem and the staff were incredibly kind.

While the store is truly vintage everything, the prices were way too expensive for what the items were. Store smelled very old, too. Could use a better ventilation system, and alot more space for the volume of items in there. Tons of shoes, boots, Men's hats, clothing, but the prices were not worth paying for the items. Not so sure I would go back...
