Casey did a fantastic job! Between making our drinks and doing our tour. We had a fantastic time and learned a lot. Great to see how a dream can turn into a passion and a thriving business. (Edit to correct name spelling)

It is a beautiful setting. But there isn’t much of a tour as all of the distillery processes are done in a different place. It is more of a tasting which was done very well, and we enjoyed but if you’re looking for a tour of bourbon making processes, this isn’t it.

I recently visited to J. Henry & Sons Bourbon Farm, which is not far from Madison, WI. This was such an enlightening experience that went beyond just sampling fine bourbon. Located on a historic family farm that has thrived for over five generations, this distillery embodies a profound connection to the land and its harvest.Upon arrival, we were greeted by Jaydon, whose enthusiasm for bourbon was both infectious and informative. He introduced us to their unique bourbon, crafted from heirloom red corn, wheat, and rye, all grown on their farm. This approach not only showcases Wisconsin's rich agricultural legacy but also infuses each bottle with a distinct, local flavor. The rustic charm of their tasting room creates the perfect ambiance for a bourbon exploration. Surrounded by an array of bourbon bottles, each with its unique flavor profile, Jaydon guided us through their offerings. The signature five-year-old bourbon, with its blend of caramel, vanilla, and cinnamon notes, was a standout. However, it was their Patton Road Reserve, a single barrel proof expression, that truly showcased their mastery in crafting complex, flavorful spirits. The tour extended beyond the tasting room to the grounds and rickhouses, where we witnessed the aging process of their bourbon. The rows of barrels, aging and absorbing the character of the surroundings, were a testament to their commitment to quality. J. Henry & Sons leverages Wisconsin's extreme seasonal changes to enhance the bourbon's complexity, a unique approach that contributes significantly to the final product. Our visit was an immersive journey into the heart of Wisconsin's bourbon-making tradition. For anyone who appreciates the art of finely crafted spirits, J. Henry & Sons is a must-visit destination.

Very small bar/tasting area. Staff seemed completely overwhelmed with the moderate sized crowd. Drinks took about 20 min, and waiting to pay our small tab took another 20. Drinks tasted great tho.

What an absolute beautiful piece of property! My husband and I stopped on our way back home... Best decision ever! But what really makes this place great outside of the bourbon, beauty, and cocktails is the staff! Such great people. It was a welcoming environment and the guests and staff were amazing. Sometimes, being black in America, I am cautious of where I go! But J. Henry's and Sons was amazing in making us feel welcomed!

A wonderful experience! The location is quiet and beautiful, tucked away in a long driveway and shaded by huge trees. The tasting room is a quaint house repurposed to receive guests. We went on a less busy time, so got to have some VIP treatment. The tour is quite informative and included some delicious drinks and a pleasant walk to their barrels. I would bring friends to do it again! The owner and sons were both in and around the premises, and it felt so family oriented. I loved the whole visit and felt like I was just joining the family for some good drinks.Oh, and Kasey (I hope I got her name correctly) made me the best old fashioned I've had in the recent decade. Bravo!

I love Bourbon! Have consumed many different ones over 45 years. Lived in Kentucky and Tennessee the heart of Bourbon Country, for years. This is one of the best I have had!!Great bouquet, beautiful amber color, the flavor is rich with full earthy taste in the front with an unparalleled smooth finish on the back of the tongue. Stumbled on this at Burnett Dairy in Alpha Wisconsin and will be buying a case for our best customers here at Shepherd's Ridge Creamery!! Wonderful find!!

Never disappointed with visiting J Henry tasting room. We did our first tour of the farm in Feb. 2020 and decided to take a tour today. Jaiden did a phenomenal job and was a wealth of knowledge about J Henry bourbon! Best bourbon in my opinion! Cheers! ?
