We stayed at the Darlington Inn for my grandmother's funeral and my entire extended family (and I) were thoroughly impressed and grateful for the hospitality the family who owns this hotel extends to their guests. It felt like a rare treat to experience that level of service and care. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, pillows fluffy. The pool and hot tub were clean and refreshing. My kids loved hitting up the vending machine and my extended family enjoyed long conversations in the breakfast area, long after breakfast was over.Thank you, Darlington Inn, for a wonderful stay. We are already planning our return.

It was an ok stay but we're treated very rudely upon check out as well as couldn't sleep because of the people above us, between 4a.m. until about 10 p.m. it sounded like elephants. Also, the room was not very clean, the shower curtain had mold or mucus in it, the toilet seeped sewage from the base everyone we showered, ect. Decent breakfast but watched like a hawk while getting it. Not very relaxing or courteous, very cold and un welcoming. Will never stay again.

Front desk lady was very nice and helpful. The room we had was horrible. The bathroom smelled like urine when we checked into the room. We are wondering if it was cleaned at all. The room was also very musty. The TV kept turning off and was very difficult to watch. Overall we will never stay at this hotel again. Wasn't worth the money we paid. Very disappointed because we'd heard this was a really nice hotel. We heard wrong.

This place has bugs … I noticed two small bugs on the bed told the front desk they upgraded me to a suite and the jacuzzi had small bugs and the bed had small bugs as well had to check out early. Do not recommend. This place is infested

I've stayed here twice so I don't know which stay I'm reviewing. First stay-quiet, comfortable room. Good amenities-coffee, fridge, microwave. Second stay-They didn't have the same room available, but they upgraded me to a suite. Separate bedroom from the main room. Same good amenities. Good service. Very kind front desk guy. I'll be back.

Long story short, they discriminate against people with disabilities.I called them to try to make a reservation. I let them know I have a service dog. I have a disability that he's trained to assist with. Anyways the lady on the phone said "okay we're allowing pets FOR NOW but you have to stay on the second floor and it'll cost extra for a pet fee." I told her that I needed an accessible room on the bottom floor and that he is a service dog, not a pet. She refused to give me a room on the first floor because "they only allow pets on the second floor". Again he is NOT a pet. I tried explaining it to her and she got very mean. They are not accommodating at all and their customer service was terrible. I went with the Super 8 in Monroe and they were an absolute joy to work with and did their very best to accommodate me. It was well worth the drive to go there instead of staying somewhere that is not welcoming to anyone who may require any type of accomodation.

The room was really nice. Very clean. The breakfast was horrible. There were two biscuits that were as hard as a rock, and the gravy was warm at best and kind of "slimey". I threw it away. Only other option was 2 hard boiled eggs, and about 4 slices of bread for toast. Only place in Darlington to stay, but I'd go somewhere else for breakfast!!

This was very nice..it has a pool hot tub..big eating area..has all different kinds of things for breakfast...it was super clean ..employees were so very nice...has a work out room...I can't say enough nice things about this placeRooms: My room was beautifulSafety: I felt very safe staying thereWalkability: Subway, Ace Hardware, Gas station, McDonald's, and Dollar General all with in walkingWi-fi: Wifi was very fast no issues with it at all

The rooms are spacious and clean. The pool and jacuzzi are very nice. I do recommend getting a room on the first floor if you have mobility issues, though. They do not have an elevator.

We stayed here September 17. It is very clean with nice rooms and dining area in lobby. Good breakfast options, and the staff is very professional and friendly. They were helpful with dining suggestions in the area. Highly recommend.
