I drive through Deerfield occasionally for work and always thought the Rail House looked like a cool place…My wife and I stopped in on a weeknight and the few guys smoking outside stared us down the whole time we were walking up. Low and behold one of those guys was the bartender. He proceeded to check our id’s not to see if we were of age(we are far above legal drinking age) but definitely to see where we were from. I ordered a whiskey sour, and my wife ordered a bottle of beer that she likes, but was told by the barkeep not to order that and try something else.We finished our drinks and left. We never felt welcome from the second we got there.

It's a great place to hold a party! Lots of space for dancing good bar. My sons class had their high school prom there. They did a red carpet event. Had a red carpet to get into the place. It was really fun. Had good food and good service.

Hahaha shouldn't have expected anything exciting. We got there thinking they had food by reading other reviews but no grill, the fryer was down & they only had frozen pizza. 2 groups of good ole boys sitting around playing cards. Friendly bartender when we first walked in but he went about his game. Ordered a couple of beers & got out. Great place for the locals I guess but don't come hungry.

Great space with a pool table, dart boards, and a banquet hall for parties under 300 people. Large decks are great for summer cocktails, and it is adjacent to the Glacial Drumlin trail.

Very rude bartender. Don’t stop if you aren’t a local.

Not bicyclist friendly... Even though my wife and I were parked in a parking spot in the path lot, we came off the trail to find a nasty scrawled noted on our vehicle that we were "blocking their lane" (we weren't at all). We actually had planned stopping in for drinks and food.. we went somewhere less aggro.Edit: Look at the response from this guy. It tells you all you need to know. We were pulled all the way up in that spot. There were no customers there - not a single car, they were still closed. Seems like their issue is with the city and the proximity of that end space to their business. They could easily speak with city officials and make the last couple spaces compact car or motorcycle only. Instead they seethe staring out their window. I wonder what other immaterial things cause the owner to fly off in a rage? If you sit in the wrong chair will something happen to your food?

Always a friendly and helpful atmosphere! Very accommodating to hungry individuals! Very spacious and great energy! Highly recommend stopping by this establishment for food, drinks or great company! They also rent out their back room to us annually for our fantasy football draft! Again highly accommodating!
