“First time trying the fish fry and we were very surprised. It's iconic vintage atmosphere all the way, like stepping into the 1960's. All the regulars, everyone says hi, it's charming. We got the two piece and three piece fried cod, carried it out, $30. The servings were large, perfectly cooked with a very light, flaky, crispy coating, with fries, rye bread, creamy coleslaw, and tartar sauce. Will definitely go again. We try to stop and support as many American Legions as we can as we travel. We're members of American Legion Paradise Post 79, New Port Richey, FL.”

“Was hard to find just driving using GPS. One way in and out on a busy street far as I could tell. Customer service was bland but they had nice products and variety”

“The food was delicious and the service was top notch. Our table wasn't quite ready at our reservation time, so they were able to seat us in the bar almost immediately. We weren't made to wait.”

“Great experience. Beautiful venue great layout. List of compliments from family members and people at the wedding. Paige helped coordinate everything from the beginning, was very attentive and immediately responded to emails and calls. Paige also helped us set up a vendor not on the list originally and get them add. Paige helped facilitate communication with vendors as well. Highly recommend. Drinks option is quite pricey but we had a great time and so did our guests.Clean up crew was not disruptive and was very helpful and right on time.Paige is very response to email, phone and open to meeting in person and discussing options a head of time. Very much appreciate her work and help”

“Gem in Lake Country. This is a review of the casual menu. Tuesday-Thursday they have a Happy Hour special from 4:30-6:00, half off all drinks, including the big steins of beer. Live music in the lounge Dec-Mar and then the patio starting in May. We enjoyed a very tasty and juicy orange roughy sandwich and a chicken pesto wrap. Both were delicious and more than we could eat.”

“UPDATE: 1-8-23Management did reach out and provided some perks to correct the experience. I was able to enjoy the pool at the times open and I always base my most recent review on how things are handled, rather than how a negative feeling impacted me, as everything is situational.Thank you for the adjustment and I will strongly consider staying here again in the future.-----------------------I was having a peaceful stay and after working 2 full long days, I wanted to relax at the pool until it closed as posted on the door at 9:30 pm, photo attached. I had just stepped in the pool to ease myself in at 9 pm, when the front desk person walks in, stares at me then approached me sticking his thumb motioning to leave. I did not respond immediately and he followed up with a verbal "it's closed." - I responded with, "the sign on the door says 9:30"He responded quickly with, "nope, it's 9" and proceeds to shut off the hot tub and started turning off the lights. I cooperated and returned to my room.Hospitality was not present with this interaction and I know he's not had an easy night when I checked in and maybe suggests a similar night when he acts like a bouncer to kick me out of the pool area.If in fact it is supposed to close at 9, they should put a sign up. Much like other signs that are taped to the door the I've seen.Customers should not be treated this way and more training is required for this person to have better hospitality communication. Be better.Rooms: My room is quite nice and quiet. Good size TV, love the bathroom setup with opposing showers and heat lamp. Bed is comfortable and pillows are also comfortable. The office desk is nice and large with enough space to set up 2 laptops and have more space to eat. Fridge has great space to fit 2-liter bottles and if you have a skinny container, frozen stuff can fit.Noteworthy details: In place of relaxing at the pool, I now have to just sit in the shower for the period of time I was planning to relax in the pool.”

“Easy location to find with plenty of parking. It's the oldest restaurant in Wisconsin from 1848. The entrance is a little tight but they are handicapped accessible. Our waiter was a personable middle aged man with a warm smile and a raspy voice named Ryan, who I highly recommend . Erin is the assistant general manager who was pleasant to work with for a future event that I am planning. We were able to try new foods and a delicious pickled vegetables with two different breads for snacking. The escargot was exceptional with the puff pastry instead of mushroom caps which I'm allergic too. I ordered the scallops, my wife got the filet and my mother in law ordered the New York Strip and both steaks were cooked to the correct temperature. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and retirement so the restaurant comped her a free lemon cream brûlée which sounded so good I had to have my own. My mother in law had the Grasshopper Torte. I am looking forward to our next visit because I tried something that I had never eaten or heard of, which was sunchoke and it was superb, mixed the other ingredients in the brown butter scallops. YES I will order it again.”
