Poor communication, bad customer service, inaccurate billing, WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND and have actively told people NOT TO USE AMERIGAS.
Terrible customer service. Delayed deliveries caused damage to property.
Even employees speak poorly of AMERIGAS!
Stay away. Use someone local. This place does not deserve your business.
They solicited this review so while I seldom post reviews, this one fits the bill and they asked for it.

We have a seasonal cottage. Deliveries from AmeriGas Propane has always been reliable. They have been delivering to us for the last 35+ years without incident. We are rural and on a lake. No problems to date!

I was supposed to be called upon delivery because I had someone to meet them to make sure it was correct. This did not happen. The same thing happened a year ago.

Absolutely the worst. Save money, shop local. There is nothing American about AmeriGas. They will try to nickel and dime you for everything! Delivery is fine, its the business end of the house that is a rolling dumpster fire.

I am only 3 miles v from your loading office and it takes 5 to 7 days to get service. When they get here, the service is excellent.

Super fast! Delivered in only a couple days. It's nice knowing we're going into tomorrow's cold snap with plenty of propane.

Amerigas is a scam. When I first called this company to provide propane for my house they said they can fill it and I would do monthly payments for a year. 4 weeks later I got a bill for over $1200 due immediately. I called and told them I didn't want their service anymore and to cancel my service with them. They said no problem. 2 weeks later I get notified that they topped of my property tank and added $400 to the bill. I called and asked them once again to not do that and to even take back the propane. They said they can't. Now today I get notified they topped my tank off again and are charging me even more. They are a scam. I own my tank and will be placing a lock on it. How can a company provide a service you don't want and charge you for it? Twice?

Everything about this business is top rate. Great website, helpful staff if you need to talk, and their delivery personnel are friendly and knowledgeable. It's hard to find a business that encapsulates customer service better! The above was written before the local offices were closed! The "new" system is the worst customer service EVER. I have been out of propane for a week and still continue to be promised a delivery in 24 hours. The call center is located "offshore" as I have pulled at least that much out of them. The call center has no direct control over delivery teams and they don't even have phone numbers to achieve promises. If you are looking for a propane provider, I strongly suggest not even contacting AmeriGas until they cleanup their communications and delivery process! In this age of getting what you pay for.... This is truly a "let the buyer beware moment"!!!

They charge 3.899 a gallon. There are companies that charge 1.899 but I have a credit with them. As soon as I can I’m switching companies. I believe this company price gouges.

The delivery people are great, but the office workers are horrible. They now will not deliver propane to a vacation cabin because "someone has to be there". There is no electricity at this cabin, and they have always switched tanks for us, left them closed, and let us open them up, but not anymore. They're not open on the weekend, and we live 250 miles away and only use it on weekends. We're going to have to find another propane delivery service. This is what happens when local control is sold to nationwide chains. Service goes into the toilet.

We have cabins near Eagle River, Wisconsin, and we've been customers of Amerigas for over a decade. They were excellent until about two years ago, and then they switched to a system where we can't talk to our local office. Dialing the local number bounces us to a national answering service, and we end up talking to a different person every time. Those folks try to help, but they don't know the local situation, they just have a computer screen. Our latest order was on June 2, with delivery promised by June 9. It's now June 14, and there's no propane delivered, and no calls or e-mails to explain why. This is totally unacceptable, and we're investigating other suppliers and/or conversion to electric.

Worst service ever!!! I ordered gas on 4/27 (tank was at 8%), told by someone in the PHILIPINES that it would be delivered on 5/2. Got a text on 4/28 that delivery was cancelled because the tank was full. I called and they told me the driver came out and the tank was full. I am at my cabin and NO ONE has been here and the tank is still at 8%. They said they would "fix this". Hope I get my gas on 5/2. DO NOT use this company if you have any other choice.
